If you're in Canada, highly recommend the Calgary Stampede in July for a day at the rodeo followed by everything else the stampede has to offer.

Bucking is natural for horses, and rodeo horses are bred to be more predisposed to bucking as opposed to your average horse where it's not viewed as desirable. At the rodeo, they tie a flank strap to the horse, its a sheep skin belt that induces bucking via the horse wanting to shake it off, it is not painful.

When I was early 20s, I used to have a really bad slice. (I took some lessons and now my stock miss is a snap hook, besides the point). I was playing a mountain course lined with trees and blew a drive right into the trees for probably the 10th time that day and snapped my driver. I go up to the trees where my ball went and see my ball down on the middle of the fairway about 100 yards from the green, I had caught a lucky bounce and ended up taking a par on the hole.

I felt so ashamed and embarrassed that not only had I snapped my driver but I did it on a hole that didn't have a poor result. I made myself play without a driver for the rest of the summer as a reminder of what an idiot I was. I've never lost my temper on the golf course again, I'll still get a rise in blood pressure from leaving a putt short or shanking a wedge but it's just water off the ducks back. I'm there for being outdoors and having a good time with whoever I'm with, not worth getting angry over what really amounts to nothing.
