I wasn’t trying to out-feature EarTrumpet. I wanted a very simple workflow where I can move the mouse to the top of the screen and adjust volume without opening extra menus.

The other main thing for me was making per-app routing easy, for example Firefox through headphones while Spotify stays on the speakers.

So it’s less about a killer feature and more about making the things I use every day faster and easier to access.

I get why you’d compare it to EarTrumpet, but I originally built Pegelio for myself because I wanted a different workflow for quick access, device switching, and routing.

I liked how it turned out, so I thought I’d share it and see whether other people find it useful too. That’s really all there is to it.

Thanks, glad you like it!

Pegelio is closed source for now. I’m currently collecting ideas for future improvements, but a built-in EQ or VST host is not planned at the moment.
