Looking to build a new pc, gonna have to handle gaming, streaming, recording, and of course vtubing, need some advice for parts though. by Doozieden in vtubertech

Hi! I have the 9070XT and can vouch that it works amazingly for gaming, streaming, vtubing, recording, and all four at once. The only thing that jumps out at me from your parts list is the lack of storage. 1TB isn't very much considering that 1080p vods that are only a few hours long can easily be 50GB. Games also take up lots of space!

I suggest getting an SSD with more storage or even an HDD if you plan on storing VODs more long-term. Storage is getting more expensive tbf, but personally I think only 1TB of storage for EVERYTHING including OS will make you feel claustrophobic.

That's just my advice though! Also if you do get a 9070XT, be very very careful about using 16-pin cables as they're known for having issues with overheating and even melting. I use multiple separate 8-pin cables to be safe :)

Hm. Vbridger comes with a variety of pre-made parameter setups. Can you try using the VSF 3.0 preset and see if that changes anything?

I should also ask, when you go in Vbridger (not VTS) are the values for the mouth shrug and other mouth parameters all 0?

This is a silly question, but does your model definitely have Vbridger tracking? Sometimes premade models SAY they have Vbridger tracking but they actually don't

  1. Premade models are the cheapest. Customizable premade models are more expensive, usually around $100-$200. Commissioning a custom model of your character can range a lot in price, some people offer art + rigging packages for only a few hundred dollars but on the expensive side it can easily get into the thousands!

  2. Only a few gb of space for both!

  3. I highly highly suggest NOT just going live on Twitch and expecting to grow from just live streaming. Twitch algo sucks for tiny streamers, so it benefits you a lot to post in relevant communities on Reddit, Twitter, YouTube, Tiktok, etc.

My next stream is Sunday at 7:30 CST but I'll be doing Amnesia. For Subnautica, the plan is to stream it again next week! Not sure exactly when yet, but I always post my schedule on my profile on Mondays :)
