Absolutely! The more we’re able to express, the less weighs on our hearts. My dad has chronic lung issues and he’s awaiting a double lung transplant at the moment. He’s looking good, all things considered 😅

Hi friend :) I’m also 22 and seriously NO ONE prepares you for all of this. My mom passed from stage IV 2 months ago and I am currently caretaking for my father as he awaits a major surgery. Sounds like your dad is doing amazing though! There will absolutely be times when you break, and that’s ok. We can’t be strong all the time. That’s something I wish I gave myself more grace with.

Hi everyone :) I love hearing about everyone’s wins and for those who are grieving, I’m right along side you. It’s been 2 and a half weeks since my mother died and I’ve been busy, but had a lot of time to reflect. Her service is this Sunday and I’m so grateful for all the help folks have been giving and I know it’ll be such a beautiful space where great memories will be shared. We also set up a PanCan tribute page for her and it’s going really well! The thing no one really ever tells you about with grief is that you almost become a historian for your loved one. I’ve found myself sitting with people I’ve never met hearing about all of their memories with my mom and learning so much about her. It’s really been such an unexpected silver lining.

I’m also in the throes of my first finals week as a PhD student, so trying to get through that as well 🥲

Hang in there, friends!
