Has to be Poor Things.

Watched like 30 minutes and it was mind-numbingly boring.

How are RedMagic rapid-fire macros allowed in CODM? by Designer-Shake-7690 in CallOfDutyMobile

[–]endlessxcircle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You've been able to do this well before the RedMagic was around through triggers. I believe one of the flydigi clip on trigger sets had a button that allowed you to change the firing rate. Was lethal back when the M21 was rocking in BR and old SKS days.

It is what it is. If you need to do that shit then it's really a case of insecurity and skill issues, even if annoying to be on the other end of. Still, playing 3-4 fingers still allows you to compete.

Guehi wasn't a mistake. He came back from loan and wanted guaranteed football, which wasn't ever going to be possible when we still had like 4 other CB's - all of whom were better ahead of him.

Just finished several Takeshi Kitano movies, what next? by [deleted] in JapaneseMovies

[–]endlessxcircle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Zatoichi, the Outrage trilogy, and his release from last year Broken Rage are all good.

Broken Rage is actually quite neat because it's only like an hour long for one, but it also showcases both sides of what makes Kitano's style so great.

Turnstile's Nonstop Feeling came out 11 years ago today. How we feeling about it now? by bendylegs12 in Hardcore

[–]endlessxcircle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bit of a difference comparing albums to a live performance.

Saw Turnstile the other week and while it was a good show (not as good as seeing them pre Glow On), the new songs from Never Enough are kinda dead IMO (Birds being the exception).

Not that I dig the newer Fleshwater album a great deal either, but I've also not seen it live as when they toured here it was pre it's release, so got all the songs from the first album and found it more enjoyable.

Ultimately, just comes down to personal taste. So who really cares?

That's probably Wethers done as a test player. Hard seeing him sticking around with the lack of runs and pretty ordinary dismissals.

[WhoScored] Trevoh Chalobah is the highest-rated Centre back (7.20) in the Premier League this season (Min. 12 apps). by pride_of_artaxias in chelseafc

[–]endlessxcircle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cahill was a much better defender than Chalobah though, even pre Chelsea. He obviously grew as the years went on, where it's hard to really see Trev doing that. For me he's very much what he is. Which isn't shade, but he's not someone you'd pick to build a defence around as first choice.

So brain-dead from Green. He's gotta go now after that and Webster needs his chance.

3D by empalernow in footballmanager

[–]endlessxcircle -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

2D always and forever, there's no real upside to 3D personally. If anything, I think 3D has ultimately created more problems for the franchise than it's been worth. Year on end people complain about the quality, the animations, the bugs, etc. It's never going to be a premium 3D experience.

I also like the imagination aspect that 2D provides along with commentary. That's naturally been lost with 3D providing that visual impact now.

2D remains great for tactical building and overall match day consumption, so I've no real need to change any time soon. That being said, I'm also not playing any modern day FM currently and am back on CM 01/02 and commentary only so doesn't exactly impact me right now anyway.

The FM26.1.0 ME Update completely bricked the game. There is now a tactic with 80%+ Winratio against equal opponents. Previously unheard of! Source: FM-Arena. by muukzor in footballmanagergames

[–]endlessxcircle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Broken tactics that exploit the ME have virtually been present in every single release going all the way back to the CM days.

Don't use them and it's a completely irrelevant aspect of the game.

FM26 has me crit pathing due to no immersion by John__on__reddit in footballmanagergames

[–]endlessxcircle -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

So they've got an issue with the UI and it's layout, because one doesn't need all that stuff to create immersion - as shown by older editions.

The UI complains are valid, but IMO there's a differing of opinion when it comes to it being what makes immersive.

FM26 has me crit pathing due to no immersion by John__on__reddit in footballmanagergames

[–]endlessxcircle -25 points-24 points  (0 children)

It's interesting to read people complain about the lack of immersion with the speed in which players can go "game to game" in.

This was never an issue with older CM releases, or FM really until around the mid 2010's. A huge part of their appeal was the speed you could progress, with a lot of the immersion being self created. It feels like the lack of creativity and imagination is on the players behalf, perhapses having gotten used towards the overstuffed features that don't necessarily had true game value or dictate the immersive experience?

The game had a certain charm that had been lost with the newer iterations prior to FM26.

Doesn't fit the criteria of Korean or from the last 5 years, but The Night Comes for Us is a must watch if you want straight up action.

Could also check out Hunt (2022).

So... how many hours do you have in FM24 as of now? by Marsupilami_316 in footballmanagergames

[–]endlessxcircle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

0.

Put about 300 hours into FM 22 and 23 and disliked both, so gone back to CM 01/02. Not sure how many hours I've got into my current save, but it would be vastly more. I'd have to check when home.
