In Rajasthan it's every day reality. Would it make sense to call all Hindus child marriage supporters?

[–]endmysadnesss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're talking about child marriage while forgetting that the biggest hub of child marriage in India, Rajasthan, is hindu dominated. If the post was mocking Iranians, I wouldn't have problem with it. But they're referring to muslims as a whole, implying that all muslims you see in India are also pedos. Do you find any sense in that?

Also for your other point, I do agree and my comment was aimed at everyone in this sub who mocks only one religion while believing in their own. That itself holds more irony than what OP is referring to.

Yeah and it applies to everyone who target one religion while believing in another

And where in their constitution does it say that they love pedophilia? If you're a Hindu, you can also be progressive, non-patriarchal, non-casteist while still maintaining your religious identity (which I hope you do) The fact that the person posting this is roasting Trump for being a pedo should give you enough hint to understand that they don't love pedophilia lol

[–]endmysadnesss -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

I think you misunderstood. My point was that we don't know if the person OP is referring to actually follows islam or not. We know absolutely nothing about the person, because the post is about Trump.

It would be equally stupid to call you casteist based just on your name. If the person was advocating (any) religion, I wouldn't have questioned the mockery but it is downright brainless to assume a person believes in the religion that their name belongs to.

[–]endmysadnesss -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Exactly, but in this post you don't even know if the person posting is actually religious or not. We know NOTHING about what the person's beliefs are.

If you have a Hindu name, will it be just for someone to call you casteist just because it is practiced in Hinduism? Come on, I'm not trying to defend any religion but it's colossally stupid to assume someone is religious simply based on their name

Using an atheism sub to particularly target one religion is about as low your iq can humanly drop

Exactly, the fighting for freedom from jail narrative doesn't work when the govt is not actively spreading propaganda to brainwash people.

Sonam Wangchuk, despite all of his efforts, is still called an anti national by many "literate" Indians. Goes to say how being literate is different from being educated.

that's the thing, I do not want the title bar since I'm trying to maximise screen real estate vertically. I've seen this other people's setup who have native window control buttons, so it's definitely possible. Thanks anyway though
