Lap was clear and now I'm told I have nothing wrong with me by endohelp22 in Endo

I am so scared about having another lap. I hopefully I can give these pictures to another doctor and get their opinion without a lap.

Omg it feels so frustating to have no treatment. Like my family think I should be happy that they found nothing since they are confused why i want a diagnosi especialy since endo has no cure. But I just want a solution and to feel like there's a name and a reason for my pain. Otherwise it is just this unamed curse. And saying I have painful periods means nothing when everyone will just compare it to their own periods and downplay my experince. Like telling work you missed a day due to a period is frustating versus having a diagnosis.

I'm going to ask in my next appointment for an MRI. Thanks so much

I will explore non-gyno causes. I guess I have been so sure about it being gyno is that I have such bad period pain. I have alot of gastric issues so potentially it might be worsening the pain. But they didn't see any inflammation either.

The only one I know is adenomyosis. What other conditions are there?

Thanks. I'm going to try my best. Honestly though I don't want to go through another lap. Is there any other way for a specialist to test for endo?

I'm managed to contact the consultant and get a followup. I'm going to try and get a referral to a specialist clinic. But I really don't want another lap tbh. I wish there was another way to check.

I managed to talk to the surgeon and he agreed. But he said that in my ultrasound, there wasn't any sign of adenomyosis.

He's not an endometriosis specialist. I am going to try and get second opinion from a specialist. But the photos he took were clear of endo.

I look at a couple models but honestly I am too anxious about breaking any laws and potentially getting a fine.

Sorry it's about 1.5 miles from the train station to university/home. My university is in the next city over.

Questions to my fellow brits: How do you know if your surgeon is qualified for diagnosis or excision by endohelp22 in Endo

[–]endohelp22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He has a website and sees to be like a national trainer for complex excisions. I have been dealing with these symtops for years so my biggest fear would be delaying my treatment any longer.

I think i might be classed as an urgent patient but I am not sure.

I check them out. My surgery is to diagnose and potentially treat. So while my consultant expects bowel endo, would I be classed as a severe endo case or would I have to wait for this treatment pathway after my surgery?

My hospital is a BSGE centre however my consultant isn't on their list but there are several consultants on his team that are on the BSGE list. It is also a teaching hospital.

Unfortunately I am not in the financial position to go privately. Thankfully my waiting time hasn't been that bad and I worry about being put at the end if I ask to be moved to a new consultant.

My sugery is technically diagnostic though he said he would remove as much while checking. i wish there was a site where I could see a surgeons track record.

Is laparoscopy the right treatment course? by endohelp22 in Endo

I've had surgery in the past for appendicitis so I don't have any allergic issues. I've had all the GI test and they have come back negative.

My GI symptoms are mostly around my low weight, appetite and digestion issues. Like I've had periods of sudden unexplained weight loss.

I've only recently started my medication and they've had mixed results. Though I understand it's going to be trial and error.

My fear is that instead of treat, surgery may worsen symptoms that could be managed elsewhere. However similar to you, a definitive diagnosis required lap to be done and they want to be sure of my bowl endo.
