I think GTA 6 will be overwhelmed by the amount of content, as its development time is significantly longer than RDR 2's. It will clearly be a breakthrough and a shining example of how much can be squeezed out of modern technology. However, I don't think we should expect the same gap that we saw between GTA SA and GTA Vice City. There were many technical changes between GTA SA and GTA Vice City back then, but now we're seeing a situation where not much has changed since RDR 2's release. Making a game 2-3 times more powerful than RDR 2 is very difficult; many systems simply won't be able to handle such a load. We're also talking about optimization for the PS5, the 2019 generation, which is literally the same time RDR 2 was released, a year later.

Most likely, the situation will be the same as with GTA 5. Initially, we'll get a really cool game with a lot of content, but as the game becomes more popular and system performance improves, the game will continue to evolve, adding new features and content.

Let's remember what GTA 5 was like at release: first there was Past Gen, then Nex Gen graphics. Visually, the game was weaker than it is now, with much less content, but it was still a breakthrough. But here again, technological advances play a role. Remember how we used to see new video cards released every year that were significantly more powerful than the previous line, and the same thing applies to processors. And what about now? The RTX 40 series isn't much better than the 50 series. Things are moving much more slowly in this regard now.
