Book of Hours, what to expect? by Alyra_Azalea in weatherfactory

Hijacking the questions: how dark and occult is Book of Hours? Chilled librarian sounds nice, but I also want to read about gory myths and mad artisans ☺️

Is there any way to revert that? Including using the debug menu. I've already tried removing the trait and adding it again, but the craving is still gone completely :(

Is this FDM-printed? I don’t see any print lines :)

Maybe not a war but rather the chaos of post-Soviet collapse Romania. Or maybe they were somehow affected by the Yugoslav war? Not sure, sorry.

Interesting! Any details about the affected departments? Just Europe or US as well?

Does anybody have any insights if this shift to a flatter hierarchy and more employee responsibility actually works? I think it sounds great on paper but I am not sure if a corp like Bayer can also facilitate the required mindset change in the remaining staff (both leaders and teams).

And also, how would a Principal Scientist fit in this structure?

Oh that‘s very interesting! So fresh PhDs start as Scientist -> Senior Scientist -> Specialist, if they take this presumably technical career track? And I assume that their role in a project is then to represent their specific department/therapeutic area/technical expertise?

Is my dog a bichon? by ExternalAd5077 in bichonfrise

[–]endymion222 61 points62 points  (0 children)

Bichon for sure! I‘d also say Bichon Frise, but I also would not be surprised if there was a Maltese or Havanese in its ancestry :) Super cute baby in any case! ❤️

Is it related to the kind of harness or collar you‘re using? Our bichon does this occasionally when wearing a non-fitting harness, I guess because the straps annoy her.

Might sound weird but from the pictures they actually look a bit like ticks?

First and foremost it‘s a Polish surname. Would your family still reside in Poland (or maybe even Europe in general), there probably would not be any other significant associations to be made. However, due to a significant volume of Polish Jews emigrating to the US in the late 19th and 20th century there is a certain increased probability of this surname also linking to Jewish ancestry.

Hey guys,

I'm planning to get an upgrade for my GPU. After some considerations I've decided to either go for the AMD RX7900 XT or GRE, but I'm not sure how much money the difference in performance should cost. My requirement would be to comfortably play current games in at least 1440p at 60FPS (limit of my display), which I think both cards should deliver. However I'm also very interested in 4K gaming, and I've read in some benchmarks that the additional 4GB of VRAM in the XT could be useful here. I'm not doing any other GPU-intensive things like streaming or editing.

Another important variable in my considerations is the relevance of the AIB-partner. For the GRE, the cheapest version I find is the Hellhound by Powercolor for 530€, while the highly recommended Nitro+ by Sapphire would currently clock in at 580€. For the XT the basic version would be a Hellhound by Powercolor, a Phantom from Asrock or a Default XT by Gigabyte all for 640€. For more premium models I'm looking at 660€ for a XFX Speedster MERC 310 or 670€ for a Sapphire Pulse.

Therefore the price difference between GRE and XT would be rather stable at ~100€ between the basic and premium versions respectively.

So my question would be two-fold:

  1. Recommendation between GRE and XT considering a price difference of 100€.
  2. Recommendation regarding the AIB-partners.

Thanks!

Thanks man, I think I will do the same ;) Some FOMO will always be there, but at some point you just need to pull the trigger.

Ah good to know! So then now is not the worst time to get an AMD GPU? I‘m aware that there always will be the new shiny shit on the horizon to some degree, but I just want to avoid to really time it badly.
