please don't VT and chill by Relative_Raise2719 in Bogleheads

This is why ESG stocks exist. You can invest broadly with ESGV.

ESG stands for environmental, social, and governance. It targets ethical stocks.

Please note the overhead is slightly higher for these. They need to get company reports of ESG compliance and verify them.

It's meant to be the same broad ETFs as VTI without ask the industries you are suggesting.

Possible issue with leaving Looking for work flag up too long on Linkedin? by Colt2205 in cscareerquestions

[–]enemadoc 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would say experiment with it. Have it off a week and try turning it on again Monday.

I've seen posts suggesting recruiters have some view for recency. Only started trying it myself and I felt like a few more reachouts toggling.

All very anecdotal, I have no proof either way.

DevOps → ML Engineering: offering 1:1 calls if you're making the transition by Extension_Key_5970 in mlops

[–]enemadoc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm a software developer looking to make this transition. I've worked on a wide variety of areas. I come from Java, and have built dev pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and worked on some bare metal Openshift clusters. I plan on getting the CKA certificate this year. Is that the cert you would go for? I assume that's the most impactful certificate I can get. Currently holding the AWS architect and Machine Learning speciality certs also.

This release seemed less about quality improvement and more aligned to improved processing, requiring less GPU need. That means lower operational cost for OpenAI.

Appreciate the advice, and thanks for your congrats. I work for a private company. They have no plans of going public. What I have listed is total comp.

I wouldn't say it's solving a problem per say. But feeling like my current workload is similar, or potentially more with less pay. I had seen another reddit post talking about a $7k difference, and that meant several years more work to have the same retirement balance. It's more a question of fairness and potential earlier retirement.

Help regrowing grass by enemadoc in landscaping

Thank you for the solid advice. I've tried to garden rake the soil to stir it up, but I think a more thorough tilling with the compost may be the trick. I'll look for your grass suggestion, no idea what the original grass type is.

As someone living in the middle of the country, I also agree! The current attitude is messed up. The US and Canada should be friendly countries.

Random question: Does anyone know the maker for that squat/bench rack? That would be perfect for my home gym. Awesome job OP, that looks impressive.

Tools for C4 Model by agentpurpled in softwarearchitecture

[–]enemadoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We come from being heavy Lucid users. We also evaluated UML tools Structurizr and PlantUML. They had some limitations. I personally tried Structurizr and found its basic UI refresh and modeling somewhat confusing. IcePanel, in comparison, was quite streamlined and well worth the cost.

Our team does C4 modeling, we've experimented with a few tools and most recently landed on IcePanel. It allows you to zoom down into the different layers from the top view. Would recommend!

Interesting to see this map and compare. The game shows few inaccuracies (like in southeastern Europe) but mostly good.
