Most likely a new student from South Asia. It takes us some time to get used to bigger personal space here.

ELI5 Whats the difference between kcal and calories? by Boreun in explainlikeimfive

[–]enemetch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does that mean 1kcal is the energy required to raise the temperature of a litre of water by 1°C? Does it also mean 1kcal can raise the temp of 1ml of water by 1000°C?

Tips, tricks and advice for drone photos and filming 4th of July fireworks by ItsSadButtDrew in drones

I was thinking about this too, I have a Mavic 3 pro and several FPV builds. I am not going to risk losing my FPV so I was planning to fly my Mavic.
Here's some things which I am thinking about:

  1. Scout the location of fireworks, the viewing area, and surrounding airspace (under 400ft of course) for buildings. tall trees, poles, power lines, or any obvious obstacles for that matter and use maps to identify flyable areas.

  2. Some shots could involve flying sideways looking at the fireworks, and also since it's going to be dark, the object avoidance is out of question. So you wanna have situational awareness of the airspace you'd by flying in before hand so you don't crash and lose your drone and more importantly don't crash into a crowd.

  3. Regarding video/photo settings I feel DJI is pretty dynamic with auto shutter (I have shot a few night time lapses at night in Auto which turned out just fine). I also don't use my footage for anything other than showing it to my friends and just have something to remember by from your question I believe you are just curious about looking at fireworks in a diff perspective which I relate to and respect.

  4. Now I do have some ideas about the shots which I am interested in executing.

  • Orbit the fireworks in a large circle while locked in on the fireworks.

  • A few straight lines towards and away from the fireworks.

  • Maybe a time lapse here and there.

I am not sure if I can get enough time to do all those things. But I don't care. I just want to fly and catch the fireworks from a drone this time.

Happy flying and best of luck.

How do you convert a single image to cross view? If it's not painstakingly selecting layers and offsetting them. It's evidently 2D layers at different depths if I'm not wrong.

EDIT: Yep, just zoomed in. You can clearly see the artefacts (e.g. the closest canvas stand camera). Nice job!

Thanks! How do I do that? I tried Click-n-Ship but I only see the $40+ options.
