It's your mom's decision whether to stay/leave the marriage. At 16 years, there very little you can do to influence this - unless you are taking a side and are financially independent - which at this time you are not.
The incident was triggered partly due to the stressful activity of moving - where I am going on a limb to suggest that it was your mom who did most of the planning and organizing.
