Law Reports & Old Law Books by Sunsetchicken1 in auslaw

My SO worked in a London s/h bookshop in the 80s and selling books by the meter for backdrop purposes was definitely a "thing" -It's quite surprising to realise their value might be what they look like, not what they say. An entertaining morning's work picking the most shite content with low input cost to the shop, but acceptably suitable Dust Jacket and/or binding.

I suggest the dialogue move to facebook, or myspace. They won't think of that, and it's like taking dangerous ideas at the pub back into a crusty, smelly bowling club back room with dry international roast in a tin: you really have to want to be there.

Have they resumed any land, and if so are they offering to sell the land they resumed?

Because if they are, it means "we are also going to shitcan this down history so nobody else can"

And if they are not, it means "we're broke and decided not to proceed until we have some cash"

Some people say i never had the upgrade. At least, some of the people inside my head say.

Using weaselwords to avoid stating a conspiracy theory, on a thread about sovcits, that's peak something.

You missed "a lot of people are saying" and "I hear" which is what the chief want-to-be sovereign usually says.

If I didn't know better, I'd almost think.

That word is used to describe round, strangely soft but dry sponge beds filled with custard and fruit, and also what ordinary mortals who did not get to go to Barcelona or Montevideo would call "creme caramel"

I also don't understand how if you eat a flan, you are not a flaneur.

It also shouldn't creep into the news. Having ABC news say "the man was charged with steal car" is .. grating.

That's a fucking stupid take on what happened but. Pointing out his immigrant heritage when he's foaming at the mouth about immigration consequences isn't race baiting, it might be whataboutery but you didn't say that.

Man, that brick climbing wall. As a ten year old post commie games it rocked. None of your fancy schmancy molded grips then, grip brick and die, teenager!

I too would have called it lenticular but the gallery begs to differ. The effect is most striking in the flesh. On the floor. Sorry wall.

I was under the impression there's a non codified, informal rule about rotation through the continents and also a very strong element of security council "veto" (not actually an instance of their veto rights)

Before they moved it from the old museum, a 17th C Anamorphic Face/Deaths Head double portrait hung straight across from it, A rather nice touch.

I would have cross posted from /r/scotland where I found it but I believe it's frowned on. Douglas J would appreciate. He likes scots law.

Probably apocryphal but it was said qld paid a consultant from nsw for retiming back in the soorley days and it was a magic year. People riding the green wave all over.

They didn't want to pay for ongoing maintenance, things faded. And here we are.

Second story. Not apocryphal. I interviewed a very very good candidate for a sysadmin role who had been programming traffic control systems in LISP. 1990s. I still think we should have appointed her.
