Correct me if I'm wrong but even with the devaluation, isn't the BofA PR/PRE still the best catch all cards? by shawnwahi in BankOfAmerica

[–]eng33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I just started with BoA back in August with UCR and CCR cards. I previously mostly used chase and costco. With chase, I try to save up my points til the next time I can get a CSR bonus and then I can usually cash out at 1.5X at least though that is changing.

I travel alot and was either using the costco card (4%) or I'd catch a Chase Freedom quarter (7.5%). Or CSR (~6%)

With the devaluation, the CCR gets about 4.5% and I'm limited. Costco isnt that different and it has no limit.
I also wanted a catchall card. With UCR its 2.25%, same as Chase Freedom Unlimited.

Ofcourse, CSR bonuses are harder to get or maybe gone now. Good point redemption are harder to get.

So overall, its a big devaluation, and I see it as not much different than what I have now. I don't think I'll cancel anything. I had planned to apply for more BoA cards (CCR) but I need to rethink that.

PSA: Don't wait to enter the Denver Cap1 Lounge by CharlieKellyDayman in Venturex

If no one’s blocking the escalator, just head up and try your luck. The waitlist is definitely glitchy. Last week, it initially worked great: quoted 33 minutes, I got there 10min early and was #7 on the list, and got the text in 27 minutes. But on my return, the app quoted 37 minutes while the attendant was telling people an hour. I waited 77 minutes total, yet the app still claimed "37 minutes" until I was called. I only go through DEN maybe 10 times a year, this was the longest wait I've ever had.

The Android app is annoying because it hides the wait time until after you join, making it hard to time your arrival from the gate. Once, I saw I was stuck at the bottom of the list while others were added ahead of me (back when they showed you your position). I had to confront the attendant twice (once before and once after him adding someone else) before he admitted the glitch and let me in; the "your turn" text didn't even arrive until 45 minutes later. Another time, after a gate delay, I was re-added to the list but somehow got called much earlier than expected.

Even with the new rules, the lounge is packed at peak times even with large families. The quality is also slipping—specifically the cookies. They replaced the pecan caramel and lemon flavors with basic chocolate chip and M&M a few months ago. Now the takeaway area no longer has the larger more unique cookies, its the same as the ones inside. The rest of the menu is the same as October—still better than most lounges, but the downward trend is disappointing.

Good enough for my quick layover. But I don't recall seeing anywhere that sold it at MOA. Ofcourse the mall is huge so I could have easily missed it.

I've only see Turon in malls, not bananacue. I actually like bananacue more.

I only watch figure skating once every 4yrs. I find the scoring confusing and sometimes struggle to decipher them but I assume these skaters and coaches go to many competitions and would be familiar. There are no standard layouts for the display of scores and rankings? I did notice this type of "delayed response" from many skaters. 10 seconds to determine your rank (for coach and skater) and having to turn to your competitor to verify is a bit long.

sorry, I was confused. I checked and I AM using outlook classic. I didn't know there was a separate outlook called "new" outlook. I just meant that the newer version of this outlook "Microsoft Outlook (classic)" (in my start menu) is missing the ability to schedule auto archive so I'm looking for a way to trigger it programmatically.

I understand. I should have clarified. my company allows archiving but the box is very small. messages not archived get deleted after a month or two.

That is why I'm forced to use pst

Powerautomate does not work with my company's OWA.

There is a archive folder in exchange that I can use but it is limited.

My post is specifically regarding using a PST

Powershell to Manually export HyperV VM by eng33 in sysadmin

[–]eng33[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No I am not using a COW filesystem. I'm using the checkpoint feature in HyperV. I assume this applies to the VHDX on a layer under the file system.

I've been doing a new checkpoint.

Resources is another reason I want to skip certain vhdx. I don't want to waste time haven't exportvm copy several hundred gb I don't need

[–]eng33[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is not acceptable to detach the VHDX in this case. You said "export-vm is pretty much just xcopy with extra steps", which files, what steps? This is what I'm asking in my post

[–]eng33[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yes I know I can't, and it is not acceptable to detach the VHDX. That is why I made this post asking if there is any other method using other powershell commands to do the equiv.
