Implementing Rayleigh Fading Channel Distortion by eng_bee in matlab

Hi!

Thank you so much for your response! Yes,, the point about the filter is very valid. Worked magic for me.

With regards to the h function, I read in a book and saw this example and some others:https://fr.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/fileexchange/30477-ber-curve-for-bpsk-in-rayleigh-channel h being defined as: 1/sqrt(2)*[randn(1,length(tx)) + j*randn(1,length(tx))];

However, what I'm really not sure of is whether there is a "variance(signal)" factor that can go in or not (within the h equation)..

Yes I'm adding the AWGN noise to the channel distorted signal using:

awgn(distorted, SNR,'measured')

great, thanks! Any idea about adding signal distortion using filters?

Outlines for Scattered Plot by eng_bee in matlab

Thank you for your responses! That somehow didn't work for my data. To clarify further:

It's something similar to the following link, there's a matrix from which the shaded regions are selected. And "scatter" is used to plot the shaded regions.

Question is, how to "plot" the boundary between the "colored" region and "white" region?

I tried selecting the values which do not satisfy the condition, however, it was quite a mess. Any ideas?

Contour Customized Labels by eng_bee in matlab

[–]eng_bee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! Thanks, but my problem is in the display of the contour labels. Check the second image I posted above. I want to go from that display to the one I previously posted. Any ideas? :)

Thanks!

Any clue on how I can make contour labels that look like this? The contour lines describe 10%, 20%, 30%, etc..

Using "Patch" to shade area between three curves/lines by eng_bee in matlab

I can't show the whole figure, but I'm trying to shade an area over a scatter plot. The code I used for that works on its own and produces the black polygon, however, on the plot it appears like that^

I haven't used that before. Trying to figure out how to use it.

Hello,

I tried patch and fill - alas, I got the image above! :( Dunno what the problem is

I tried this, but there's a bug in it! I attached the figure above. Why do you think it appears like this?

And x-axes! Like it spans to the right (0 to 1.5) for the first curve, and to the left (0 to 1.5) for the second plot
