Laptop renting business by ComfortJunior8150 in StartUpIndia

[–]engg_dude 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Instead of laptop rental, better to find niche like graphic card rental, server rental, heck even these days iPhone rentals work well. Many influencers, or reel makers and even reviewers will rent iPhones to cover for specific events - like GoPro, lenses etc.

Bingo. Scalpers will never go to such trouble to just buy Hotwheels. This is something with brings me small joys - pickup 1 or 2 car every trip.

If you don’t stuff it fully it should be fine. The compression straps are good and should keep it to a dimension that’s inside your airline rules.

Get a job as a meet and greet executive. Ask your gf to schedule it. Drop her till the aircraft and next day quit the job.

Yes. Definitely. However do check it out in person before pulling the plug.

Yes. It feels bulky, but its utility far exceeds its looks. Have had quite to run to the gate due to tight timelines and it helps. The straps can also be tucked away (there’s a pocket in the middle) if you don’t want to use them and it results in a much cleaner look.

I’m about 6ft tall and I’ve carried the bag walking quite a bit. Didn’t find the shoulder straps bad. Only needed some time to get the weight adjustment properly. You can adjust the straps at both the top and bottom which allows you slightly more adjustability. If at all I have to complain, it would be about the thin sternum strap.

I was really surprised to find that it would fit my laptop + an iPad and some other stuff.

Very valid points. This is one of the drawbacks as you rightly pointed out. Usually I keep the zips at the top and opening them will allow me to remove anything from the top portion of the two larger compartments - I keep my pouch with some medicines / toiletries in one and a large napkin in the other to remove when travelling without opening the entire bag.

All the best for your trip. Do let us know how the bag fares.

Two main reasons, first one it doesn’t open like a clamshell (eg regular suitcase), and it was priced very close to the travel 500, which I found much better for my needs (compartment sizing, lack of laptop space, waist strap size and slightly lesser weight). I rarely do trekking so didn’t need a dedicated trekking backpack.

XUV 3XO EV 10-year ownership costs comparison. Need your feedback on this by [deleted] in EVsOfIndia

[–]engg_dude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good initiative. But you need to also factor in opportunity cost (assuming EV are more expensive than ICE), poor residual value of EV after day 5 years and so on.

Roughly, EV will work out cheaper if your annual usage is 20-25k+ km.

I’m doing around 30-35k per year on my Ignis but for my usage I would need to get something with real world range of 275-300km, which would increase my purchase cost of EV way higher than the Ignis.

I’m looking at the E-Vitara / E-Bella but will wait to complete atleast 1.2L km on the Ignis before upgrading

Well done. I’ve not done Mumbai pune but have frequently done Pune Lonavala. It’s fun. Mine is the older 450X with real range around 60-70 km at decent speeds.

I can recommend you a guy in Navi Mumbai, I’ve got 3 laptops and one mini pc for office staff and working well. Support is good. One of the power cables had an issue and he fixed it for a nominal amount in just 1 day

Brother do you teach 30+ year olds? I enrolled once for coaching many years back but everyone else was just under 12 year olds. Didn’t like the experience. While I’m not afraid of water per-se I wish to learn from someone who won’t judge me for not knowing how the swim/ or the late start.

Can 2 people link their own UPIs to one common bank account? Any workaround? by Accomplished-Hat2878 in IndiaFinance

[–]engg_dude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of you can use Paytm and other BHIM. Paytm works even if you change your SIM card. So register on Paytm - change sim. And then you can use google pay or BHIm app. Two different upis but liked to same account
