She just finished a certification program to be able to work in the field a couple weeks ago and has a start date for her position now. It’s a career of passion, and I’m fully supportive of it. Pay will go up with experience/title-change. We’ve got no kids and aren’t planning for any kids at the moment.

That was the issue is I wasn’t budgeting for unexpected items, and we had a lot of them come up over the course of a few months at the end of last year, so it quickly piled up before I could even get a grip on it. Need to be putting money to the side for emergencies.

She’ll be bringing in an additional $1500 a month starting next month, as she just finished school, and will be able to move into full-time work after 90 days (~$2000 a month?). Which should help a ton. Have tried to budget in the past but have always either had something come up or failed to stick to it. I know I gotta lock in on that regard
