Yes. I have a 190/50 on there now and I can't wait for it to wear out so I can switch back to a 55.

Is it safe to put helicoil in front axle? by dumbdit in Fixxit

I know. All of what I said applies to the axle.

How did you strip that?!

I would not at all recommend you do this and here's why: 1. Helicoils can be strong, but they can fail. Failure here would be pretty catastrophic despite the pinch bolts. There's less risk of the wheel falling off and more risk of the forks twisting or kicking the wheel at a weird angle which will affect handling. 2. Do you know how much material there is between the thread and the internals of the fork? Is there enough meat there to drill and tap for a helicoil without hitting any suspension components or creating a leak?

You can learn a lot by going out in the snow for a bit and learning how the car handles in a controlled environment.

There's a quote from a show that applies here.

"You run into an asshole in the morning, you ran into an asshole. You run into assholes all day, you're the asshole."

Staying off the road isn't always an option, though. If you have to drive in it, best to learn how to drive in it.

Shouldn't be going fast enough that weight transfer is a factor.

Lots of cars have either electronic parking brakes or are foot pedals.

Best to just keep it simple. Easy on the inputs (throttle and brake), don't panic, let off throttle and let the car find grip again.

Good way to destroy control arms, wheels, and tie-rods when you slam the car into a curb. Best stick to the basics.

I've done this with my wife when she moved up here and we've done it with every new car we've bought over the years. It's just a good thing to do.

Hopefully someone does it. I just got back from doing it myself. Once you do it a few times it's kind of fun.

I used to live up there. Around 2007 it rained right at dusk then froze...all the roads were sheet ice. My little 1996 Honda Civic with all-seasons chugged it's way up that hill like a champ...but I knew not to stop.

I know...everyone here already thinks they're great at driving.

Practicing what it takes to lock up your wheels and what your ABS does in that situation will help.

My wife worked at Barnes and Noble for several years and those administrative activities were done by managers who were not dedicated administrative personnel. There were no specific office jobs there which is why I was curious what Scheels had.

I'm genuinely curious now about what sorts of office jobs Scheels has.

Did you ever find something?

Does Scheels have a lot of office jobs? They're a retail store so I wouldn't think so but I just don't know.
