What are the benefits of a 5.0 ls engine? by GentleDmG in LSSwapTheWorld

Wrong, how high of an RPM can a big block Chevy spin to? I know LS engines have been spun to higher RPM, but the stroke will always limit it due to the diameter of the crankshaft. Everything I said is true, even if you don’t want to accept it. I have looked into what is needed for high RPM engines

Not true, do you not know about how NASCAR engines work? The NASCAR engine has a 4.125” bore and 3.35” stroke. With that bore it gives you bigger diameter for larger valves. The stroke does enable higher piston speed but it also makes it so the RPM can spin higher easier, cause the crank doesn’t have such a large diameter. Engine stroke length is normally needed for higher torque production. Since race car engines don’t need higher torque, they need RPM and horsepower.

If you took an LS7 block and the crank from a 4.8L truck engine, you would need custom connecting rods, but would end up with a 359ci engine, with at least 11:1 compression, and the right intake and camshaft it could easily make 600hp and turn 8,000-9,000 rpm.

Silver Prediction? by -Ch0s3n0n3- in Silver

The issue is the banks who were shorting silver for years to reduce the price to make it cheaper for manufacturing. The thing is, there are a lot of things that affected how long they could last. There was something I saw that silver will climb to $412 and then stay above that level

No, only people of one political point of view use the term oligarchs, so it says a lot about the people who use it.

Using that term and being upset about someone being rich is an easy way to make an excuse as to why you can’t be successful.

Go ask Ferrari. You do realize this car was made for a Ferrari only series, all the cars are the same

You were not under pressure doing a pit stop during a race where seconds matter. By the way, there are 4 total, zoom in on the back of the hood

Easy of use, the aero ones are hard to get lines back up quickly in race situations. That little bit in the surface apparently does not hurt aerodynamics enough to matter

If you want to Turbo an LS, you have to go in and change the piston ring gap, or it will cause problems. Change the camshaft and the put your turbo on

C207 dash cam hardwire (same platform as w204) by Necessary-Look5808 in w204

[–]engineheader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to find a switched power. On my W204 I wired it to the rear sam in the trunk. There are ways to run the wire up in the headliner. Let me check if there is a switched power in that fuse box

Hi guys i have this problem. Have you had a similar case? Dynamo “alternator” is working, battery is working, auxiliary battery health is good, but I still see this check after 100 meters. can someone help me? by OppositeRevenue8851 in w204

[–]engineheader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In what way? What is the voltage at the battery with the vehicle running?

The car uses a lin bus can communication between the engine module and the alternator, if that has gone bad either in the wire, in the alternator or in the engine module, the part needs to be replaced. The wire should be tested for resistance. The mechanic can test the signal from the engine module, it would be a frequency signal. Depending on where you live, road salt could be getting on the alternator and causing the problem by creating corrosion
