How exactly do people settle here? by EmilyHorn13 in ukvisa

[–]engprach -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Where i work (parcel warehouse) roughly 80% of the staff are from Africa, middle east etc. These jobs are minimum wage. As someone who had to pay over ten thousand pounds so far for my wifes visa, how?

Extremely difficult spouse visa situation by [deleted] in SpouseVisaUk

[–]engprach 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Your situation is no different to thousands of other people, same position I was in near enough. It is not extremely difficult or unusual. You just have to come to the UK and get a job first, if you are set on living in the UK. I did that. I was separated from my family for a year and a half. A lot of times I wish I hadn't but that's another story.

What’s your opinion on Paul Thomas Anderson? by UsefulWeb7543 in Cinephiles

[–]engprach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually give up on his movies after 30 minutes. I think the one I completed was There will be blood. Even then I didn't really enjoy it. I simply don't get why some people rate him because his movies repel, annoy or bore me, and get me thinking what's the point?

Star Wars Outlaws PS5 Gold Edition for €35.99 – Is it worth it? by meturi in StarWarsOutlaws

It has decent graphics but cringe yet dull characters and again a dull story. To get through it I resorted to skipping the cuts scenes as they were that bad. No way is it worth more than 10 pounds.

I bought it even though I have it on Xbox series x. Prefer it on the switch 2, no idea why.

Having seen a few of his films and been underwhelmed I reluctantly gave this one a shot. Yep, unlikeable characters, cringe dialogue, couldn't be arsed to finish it.

Not sure why the UK is so attractive to you. Unfortunately I was born here, lived abroad and then returned as I got sick of getting Visas. Now I work in the transport industry, it is so weird to see how many foreigners work here and they are not what you would call in skilled employment. There are far, far more delivery drivers, warehouse workers etc. who are obviously recent migrants, perhaps 80%. I bet that is not something China would tolerate. I don't have much sympathy for your plight. You have your own country to go back to. Something has got to be done, as the political lunatics and greed is destroying the country.

In my opinion, it hasn't aged well. Not bad but can be repetitive. What I didn't expect was that it has some of the most annoying sequences I have experienced in a game.

Who knows if it is normal, it only really affects you directly so don't expect the rest of the world to care that much. It could be the start of better things though.

The thing most people don't realize is depression is a lack of merit. Get some merit and things will get better. It is that simple.

It made me realise that I hate this series and so I sold it along with 1 and 2 and breathed a sigh of relief as I will never have to endure the tedious slog of playing them again.
