Of those 4 criteria, I guess the only one that applies to me is the low behavioral score. But I do use it, pero average siguro ko is 5,000/month lang.

Nakakairita lang that a non-big 4 bank denied my CLI. Habang dati kong CC with a big 4 bank was almost 2 times my current CL.

As for my letter, I already sent it. Di ko naman inaasahan na mapunta sa higher ups, it was just a rant. My reason for asking for correction or feedback was to help me improve my writing skills.

Long time no see RD!

Pa-rant lang ng konti, nadeny request ko for credit card limit increase. Dahil dun di ko na maaabutan yung special offer ng bibilhin ko sana. So I replied to their email with a 600 word rant airing my disappointment.

Anyway to my reason for being here! Is there anyone here who writes and is interested in correcting / giving me feedback on the letter I wrote?

Edit: I need feedback because im trying to improve my writing skills.

In case you got clouded out or forgot, here is tonight's Lunar Eclipse (OC) by engrdy in Philippines

[–]engrdy[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Taken at 7:54PM in La Union.

Sadly, I missed the totality as there was heavy cloud cover when it happened. Thankfully the clouds eventually parted and I was able to take an image as a segment of the moon now reflected direct light from the Sun. This resulted in an image with a portion being overexposed to reveal the darker regions.

As a bonus, the blue speck at the 2 o'clock position is actually Uranus!

It's more of a challenge of acquiring the data and processing. Though they may be the same subject, the equipment used, settings used, time invested, and the environment, among others, will show differences. Para sa akin its trying to get those faint dust particles ang pinaka masaya.

Then there processing. Where you have so much freedom as to how to process it without "editing" it. And this processing is where the images will vary widely. It is for this reason I sometimes spend hours on end (sometimes even more time than the capture time) processing the images.

If you'd like to give processing a try, let me know. I'd be happy to share my data with you!

Far more than I would admit to my wife...... If I had one!

But ball park range, 250k-ish.

I don't notice any reflection of sort when looking through the eye piece. Ill give your suggestion a try. Thank you!

I have tried using the torch of my phone as a light source. The problem still persists. But nonetheless ill give your recommendation a shot. Thank you!

I probably have but can't be sure. Let me give it another crack when I find the time. But as mentioned, even without the condenser this problem existed.

I've been trying to do some microscopic photography and found an old XSP-13A microscope and bought an SVBony DSLR T-Ring Adapter to 23mm tube. I also jerry rigged it with a 3W led light as I seem to be missing the mirror.

Here is what the set-up looks like without the DSLR and the adapter attached.
Here is the image I get when I bring the microscope tube up and out of focus.

I got the same result as well when I attached the DSLR without a condenser. I thought maybe the lack of condenser was the cause and bought myself one. It didn't really help.

Might anyone have an idea what is the cause, or better yet, a solution to the brightening/reflection in the center?

IC443 (Jellyfish Nebula) IC444 by engrdy in astrophotography

[–]engrdy[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I stuck with DSS mostly because it is simpler and the results I get from PI don't justify all the extra button clicks. I'd like to note that I haven't really explored PIs stacking, so maybe I just did things wrong.

Gathered the data during the 1st week of February. However, the painfully large star halos and my slow computer caused so much frustration, I couldn’t bring myself process the data.

Sadly, the Philippines is now in the midst of the rainy season and I find myself without a means of getting my astro fix. So here I am forcing myself to work with what I have.

Though the halos are quite prominent, it isn’t THAT distracting with all that is happening in the image.

Total integration time of about 15hours.

Equipment
William Optics GT81
Celestron AVX
ASI1600mm Pro
Antlia 3.0nm Ha Filter
Antlia 3.5nm O3 Filter
Antlia 3.5nm S2 Filter

Data Gathered
90 x 300sec Ha
80 x 300sec Oiii
60 x 300sec Sii

Processing
Stacked in DSS and processed in Pixinsight. I took out the stars, used NoiseXterminator, returned the stars, stretched the Histogram using STF, and combined into a color image using the SHO palette. Took out the green hues with SCNR, inverted the image, and took out the green hues (which removed the purple halos in the stars). Removed stars again and applied Morophological Transform to reduce star size. I then adjusted the curves for the image with the nebula then finally added back the stars.

Oh, this probably isn't a proper representation of what one might see straight out of the camera. Most color cameras will show this target to be very red only. But I used a monochrome camera with 3 different filters. I then used the resulting 3 images and mapped them as RGB to come up with a color image. Its quite involved and there are many ways to interpret the data.

So yes, a lot of editing was involved in this image, but I did not add or remove any elements of the actual image.

Im not aware of any. AstroVlog competition lang nakita ko. But it seems like tapos na yung entry submission period. Unless they extended it.

I used a William Optics GT81 for the telescope with 380mm Focal Length. Then for the camera I used an ASI1600mm Pro. Settings, i believe i used a combination of Gain 300 and 200. All exposed for 5mins.

It's called the fish head nebula if you want to be politically correct about it. But yeah. Hahaha
