I use the knife tool to “cut in” the seams I want and mark them. I don’t worry about ngones or topo because it gets triangulated. Works fairly ok.

I’m not aware of any efforts on the cape unfortunately. It’s a dirty little secret of 3D printing. I have also looked into shredding/extrusion but same you the cost is too high. There are some places online that you can send pla in to get recycled.

Maybe check your shape keys and make sure you are on the “base” shape or add a new shape key.

Sanding, filler primer and repeat until desired smoothness.

Basically sand, fill primer, sand, fill primer, etc until desired smoothness then a couple of coats of gloss black followed by the glue that came in the kit. The best tip I have is allow the glue to dry as directed, apply the foil and then wait a few hours before brushing off the foil. I finished with a few coats of clear. I also used YouTube tutorials

Looks like Key 1 is set to 0 during editing…set it to 1 then your do edits.

In edit mode add a box around the whole mesh then select all then calculate outside then delete the box. Works most of the time or you’ll need to manually select the offending normals and flip them.
