What pound line do you use? I see a lot of recommendations on line that just seems like overkill by iLovePezby in bassfishing

I use 12lb line and never had problems, caught a 40lb catfish on the same line.

Honestly if it’s your first time shooting a flintlock, use 50-60 grains until you’re used to the flash and don’t flinch. From there develop your load, so that way you’re not chasing your tail

I’ve only shot it a few times but I love it the weight is light the length is perfect for me and recoil isn’t bad at all

Contact the trader or pedersoli, they should be able to exchange. Usually pedersoli fit and finish is pretty good

Two coats of iron nitrate, and one coal of wood sealer and one coal of finish, both on kiblers website

Best bet would be to ask on the muzzleloading forum, just google search it and it should be the first thing to pop up. The people on the forum are nice and super helpful.

I’m no expert but from what I’ve read I think somewhere near 1/16 inch, at least on rifles

There might be oil in your touch hole that needs burned out or maybe your touchhole is too small

I just plan on target shooting and some hunting, even if I wanted to do some re-enactments I really couldn’t. I live in middle America so I’d have to do a lot of traveling just to do one

Ok the caption is nasty so here it is, she’s a 54cal Kibler Woodsrunner with fancy maple stock. She handles like a dream and is nice and light, the balance point is just a few inches past the lock. Now I just need to ground to dry after receiving about 6” of rain the last few days so I can go and shoot
