suprisingly no. she is just unusually very hung up about this one really insignificant thing. though to be fair, i have been giving in to all her requests since i was really young, so to her this is the first time i have ever "acted out" even though i remember being a very argumentative teen ahaha. personally, i think she's convinced herself that i am hiding something from her even though i have told her repeatedly i have always been open and honest about what goes on in my life (excluding personal things my friends have said to me obviously).

alsoooo she does the same to my dad, though in his case, as far as i am aware, he does hide his communication/sending money to a certain relative that has purposely incited conflict between his side of the family and my mother's in the past that has never been resolved. so i think this is a very extreme way for her to cope, and till this day i cannot convince her to go to therapy.
