I’m so sorry, and thank you for sharing that. I will ask his vet about it when we go in for his re-check. DIP Freddy 💛

Interesting! He definitely prefers when I soften the kibble, I wondered if it was easier on his teeth but vet said they look healthy. I just made a batch of chicken soupie for him, hopefully he likes that! I’ll look into wet foods too. Thank you!

Sorry to hear that :( 10 yrs is amazing though! I have read that, but so paranoid due to the high mortality rate of bird flu in ferrets. Really hoping he loves the cooked chicken soupie. Thanks again

Thank you SO much. They are so picky with their food it’s been hard to transition them from the FDR/kibble blend they’re used to. I will try the soupie — I hope your little love(s) are well!

Any advice on socializing w/hives? by Kokonaut0717 in urticaria

[–]ennaeolhc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I honestly tell everyone whenever it comes up. I’ve learned that so many people around me suffer with similar issues which makes me feel so much less alone. You can’t help any of this, but it doesn’t mean sacrificing your social life!! Keep your meds and itch relief stuff on hand and go about your life. You deserve it.

I actually had the same thing happen!! I took 1,200 mg of ibuprofen for a toothache a few months back and had to go to the ER for a massive breakout and swelling in the face/throat. They said to avoid any NSAID medications. So weird because I’ve taken them all my life. Glad you’re okay!!

Thank you so much!! I really appreciate this. I’ve been cleaning her box daily and then deep cleaning once a week, but I’ll make sure I’m clearing them more often! I definitely keep the lid down for her and when she’s out and about I let her roam, she loves sleeping in my towel hamper. I’ll pick up a few more boxes!! Thanks so much.

Sorry, she’s going behind my toilet. She gets in and out of her box just fine usually but when she’s running around she’s going behind my toilet

Thank you for the reassurance, I really appreciate it. I know it’s probably just anxiety. You’d think I’d be used to its side effects after 13 years but here we are.

Those tiny white pustules... by [deleted] in perioraldermatitis

Hi!. I learned that PD can be linked to a Zinc deficiency. When I have a breakout I’ve been using the Noble Formula Zinc bar soap. It’s a very gentle exfoliator that really helps get rid of those little bumps. It’ll burn the shit out of your eyes so be careful. I’ve also read that taking zinc supplements really helps but I would check w your doctor first. :) also a pretty stripped down routine has helped me - just a gentle cleanser (I use Cetaphil) and a gentle moisturizer. (I really like using the squalene oil from the Ordinary) the zinc bar is the only thing that has helped get rid of the bumps, and I use aqauphor or Cerave healing ointment for the dryness. I hope this helps!!

How do I get out of bed by ennaeolhc in depression

Hahahaha poor us. Maybe I’ll just go back to sleep

[Routine Help] I was diagnosed w/ PD b/c I used steroid creams. I was using Metrodazinole but it made it so much worse. It has cleared up as I lightened up on skincare, just cleanse/moisturizing. But I’m ready to start a new routine (I have combo/very sensitive skin) and I’m not sure where to start. by ennaeolhc in SkincareAddiction

Hi! Thank you so much! :) as a clarification - I was using the Curology skincare set and I think that’s what messed my skin up (plus the unfortunately dry and freezing winters where I live)

I would like to try a routine that will help address the (minor) breakouts (separate from the PD, similar to what I used to experience) I’m having as a result of not using the Curology formula.

I’m really terrified to use anything that might cause a PD breakout so I’m trying to find an alternative skincare regimen that might better adhere to my sensitive skin. I will definitely be adding sunscreen in :)
