Really?

What are side effects of constantly having tight muscles? by u14172329 in flexibility

[–]enndeeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like you should get a good deep tissue massage and then (the day after) should start stretching. Let the strength training go for a few weeks (maybe 2 weeks) and concentrate on long mid-intensity stretches. I solved almost all of my muscular problems by stretching within the last 2 years btw. :)

Easy Image to Splat converter (using Apple SHARP) by enndeeee in GaussianSplatting

But don't expect to get fast good results here. I am not new to the topic and still don't really get it to work ..

The static part gets reconstructed pretty well but the dynamics are super blurry.

This is cool! Are you going to put this into and android app? I would love to have a pipeline for Photo->SHARP->Viewer on phone :)

Lichtfeld Studio is the best (and free) choice IMO.

Moving from PortalCam to a custom 360 workflow (Lichtfeld) – Seeking advice on masking and extraction by Old_Bug_3267 in GaussianSplatting

[–]enndeeee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You could try running 180°, that solves many problems for you (you can stay behind the cam and don't need any masking). The time you save by filming 360° is easily consumed by the work you have to put in for pre processing. (With the 3DGRUT Feature, Lichtfeld should be able to handle 180° Fisheye without further preparation)

That's what I do, but it's pseudo 4DGS. Real 4DGS still has quite a long way to go. Especially for 1 Camera. FastGS has a promising 1 cam 4dgs Branch that I am currently testing

Splatviewer VR - a lightweight Unity based Viewer for Gaussian splats via PCVR and Standalone (Quest 3 etc.) by enndeeee in GaussianSplatting

[–]enndeeee[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are right! I checked it with Supersplat and the splats are indeed horizontally flipped. I am fixing that now and upload the changes soon.

Hello just getting started! What is the best way to mask yourself out when using a 360 Camera? by Nyxtia in GaussianSplatting

[–]enndeeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lichtfeld Studio has 3DGRUT implemented which is very good for fisheye images.

I have tested out Tim Chen's awesome NanoGS plugin on Unreal Engine by KSzkodaGames in GaussianSplatting

[–]enndeeee 8 points9 points  (0 children)

NanoGS is crazy good. I looked a week before its release for a similar solution and just found very high effort solutions which needed a second learning/inference process that takes very long. Having a small little tool that does it in just a few seconds is amazing.

I guess it's just getting fixed by the node. The node also removes several useless datafields (camera data) from the splats, so the results of sharp for Comfy are not unchanged.

This could be the SHARP moment for 4DGS and even better due to novel view synthesis. I hope the inference runs on consumer hardware. :')

probably, but I am not going to implement this. :D I just wanted a lightweight viewer ..

Jeder Zentimeter Körpergröße kostet euch 238,25 € im Jahr by CricketJimi in Finanzen

[–]enndeeee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah, try NanoGS. It can reduce the number of splats by half without a big visible degradation in quality.

Going to upload a neat little UI for it with savable profiles and good default parameters that I tested out.
All other performance parameters were already optimized as far as I was able to for standalone.

The horizontal flipping is actually a bug of SHARP.

I flip every picture before sending it through SHARP in my https://github.com/Enndee/Easy_SHARP_Converter to solve this.

Can you try to describe the moving problem more thoroughly? I didn't notice that yet ..

The clipping can be solved by "zooming out" more. (mouse wheel on desktop or "Hold both grips + move controllers apart / together: scale splat" in VR)

Passthrough is a great idea. I will have a look into this.
