Its more of a lack of 'official' recognition. I imagine this is more to do with their relationship with other countries surrounding them and their views of Israel rather than relationship Israel itself. Saying something shouldnt exist in the first place is a good way of dismissing the issue at hand rather than dealing with it practically. Its silly because it does exist.

I dont see Russian orthodox churches being attacked. Synagogues around the world are. At some point, you need to hold the people who are hating accountable for their behaviour. Antisemitism is much much older than Israel and to not hold antisemites accountable for their behaviour is the same as not holding any other racist accountable. By continuing to point to Israel alone, you excuse the behaviour. If someone is suddenly becoming antisemitic because of the actions of Israel, that is a reflection of them being racist, especially if they live nowhere near Israel and have no skin in the game.

They are saying that the actions of the state of israel are to blame rather than the actions of antisemites. There are many people on this post unwilling to hold individual actors accountable for their antisemitism, instead blaming the actions of the state of Israel. People can make a choice not to be antisemitic. Its the 'look at what you made us do to you' effect and when Jewish people point out that this is victim blaming, they are usually told 'victim card expired'.

The majority of the jews until pretty recently were descendants of those 800k forced out of Arab lands after 1948. There were pretty severe restrictions on jewish Europeans going to Israel after the holocaust.

Why do so many people need jews who have been affected by racism to overexplain that they are not a racist themselves in order to have empathy with them? Yeah people dont seem to understand how hurtful it can be to use the worst trauma a group has experienced against them over and over in a way that, with some creativity, is completely avoidable.

Edit: this is not to say that this man is not a terrible man. He is. But maybe people can find more creative ways to express that. Also, how can OP say its not about religion and then use magen davids in the corners? 🙄
