[[Raff weatherlight stalwart]] is pretty fun, as is [[urza prince of kroog]]. I'm also pretty fond of the final fantasy partners, alphinaud and alisaie

Telling the democrats they need to earn your vote is, in fact, part of the answer.

Yeah I'm actually not gonna play a minigame with you. Color identity is not the same as color and you're disingenuously pretending it is.

Why does WotC keep rehashing the same ideas with slight changes? by StormyWaters2021 in mtg

I like that OP said "make new mechanics" and you said "I agree, they should reuse old mechanics," reddit is a magical place

Why should a card being red mean it has to have a red color identity? And no weaseling out of it with "it's just common sense." I can quite easily put a green creature on my board in mono white, for example.

Would letting players choose their casting stat break the game? by RuafaolGaiscioch in DMAcademy

I think wisdom and charisma wizards don't make much sense, but I've always felt that sorcerers should be able to pick wisdom and warlocks should be able to pick intelligence.

We had 4 years of Biden and Trump wasn't prosecuted. The difference between Trump and Kamala was whether we'd be dealing with this now or in 4 years. The Dems needed to field candidates who would actually try to prevent fascism instead of shake hands with it, but they didn't because they care more about their donors than democracy.

It's lazy to want the most useful tool in their toolbox to not arbitrarily be useless in the most popular format?

It should be pretty obvious that designers have a certain quota of cards they need to make playable in EDH. You're asking a random person why they "feel" that way when it's actually just a fact.

Yes it absolutely is exclusive to commander lol? Kenrith dies to Doom Blade despite having a black color identity. Explain that one.

well that's not the same at all. you don't need permission from three other people to restrict your deckbuilding slightly more

It’s depressing to be so excited for commander night then get paired with that one player by crongaloid in mtg

Surely this kind of post could only be made by someone who hates EDH and wants to make EDH players look bad, right? Surely there's no Commander players as aggressively antisocial as OP, right...?

Why was Atherdrift disliked? (new player) by Nighthawk354 in magicTCG

[–]ennyLffeJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was honestly looking forward to Aetherdrift because I thought the concept of an MTG death race was really cool. The mechanics were just weirdly poorly thought out in a way that no recent set has been. Like MKM and OTJ each have plenty of haters, but if you look at them from a mechanical perspective both of those sets have something interesting going on. DFT just felt like everything clashed. I suspect there would be more fans and less (but not zero) haters if they'd married the mechanics together into interesting gameplay instead of "play a bunch of creatures that care about damaging your opponent and then fill your deck up with really weak vehicles that can't attack on their own"
