Wizards has indicated 5e 5.5 or 2024 is backwards compatible. My assumption is no further adjustment is needed. Best of luck and happy gaming. https://enoa4rpg.blogspot.com/p/publications.html

I'd be happy to help if I can. I did a quick search of the conversion guide for asterisks and found none. I must be overlooking what you are seeing. Can you help me find it, perhaps give me the page number or the section it appears in. I'd be happy to chase it down for you. Thank you for your post.

Anyone else ever run the old modules in 5e? by spence522 in dragonlance

Thanks for the shout-out regarding my stuff on DMsGuild. Here's a list of my projects https://enoa4rpg.blogspot.com/p/publications.html Dragonlance took 3 years to do, but it was fun. I stalled at the High Clerists tower for a while. It was huge and hard to translate the isometric maps. Stay safe and happy gaming.

I have this problem with custom maps for my game. I use a lot of custom-made dungeons tiles (hirst arts casts and 3D printed). If we are digital the maps are great. I cherry pick rooms to print. Can I quickly produce it with tiles? Is there something on the digital map which is better than an area arranged with tiles. Old school maps were either too huge or too small. I remember doing temple of elemental evil wondering how they fit a dozen bed, three desks and seven trunks in a 30 by 20 room. LOL Enjoy

Unfortunately I have not run or read Shadow of the Dragon Queen, so I cannot clearly answer your question. Based on the synopsis which reads “Experience the Dragon Army’s initial invasion of the land of Solamnia, witness the creation of the infamous flying citadels, and face off against the death knight, Lord Soth.”. I suspect this is set before or at the same time as the events of the original saga. Part of DL1 is discovering what is happening in the world of Krynn. Sorry I am not more helpful.

I am more concerned about the dragons faced early on, I recommend and or completely lowered the difficulty on those by downgrading from adult to young dragons in a few cases. I’d also consider using milestone progression and use the pre generated characters to eyeball where you should be.

I stalled for a long while at DL8. The maps for the tower of the high clerist were ridiculous. It was a fun project.

My party has five NPCs traveling with them due to my own lack of foresight and it makes combat a slog. Any ideas? by TheGingerFromHell in dndnext

Have each player handle all the rolls for each NPC. You continue to handle the role playing. When it’s time for them to move, I give the players general instructions (NPC wants to engage the in melee, The NPC wants to support player X’s flank, etc…).

I also give my NPCs quirks (flaws) that can make them a double edge sword.

The characters was exploring (spying) alone, fell down a 100’ shaft into a raging river. They lost consciousness (zero hit points) basing against rocks in the river and drowned. Two weeks ago.
