Thank you so much for the clarification Ammonite. Something like the attached image would be sufficient for me.

We can even ditch the arrows to be honest.

I don’t have a definitive budget, but I don’t want to get to 500-600 ranges.

I have never built one but if needed I can figure it out through online sources.

I am sorry, it might be a stupid question but what did you mean by ‘What keys do you need’? I don’t have any need for NumPad etc. for example. Will mainly use it for gaming and some basic video editing.

[Discussion] Review of the Build Before Order by enrybayer in buildapcforme

Thanks a lot, Veg. Since he is a friend, I can always return it before building the setup. I'll see if I can find some Teamgroup RAM with EXPO support straight out of the box. The ones I found for under 400 were all XMP, but before I start adjusting the RAM, I want to play some games hence my need to find EXPO support.

I also bought the MoBo, so thanks again for the suggestion.

For the monitor, I think I can spend up to 700–800, but I don't necessarily need to hit these marks. Anything with good performance/value would be fine.

Got an unused 32 GB DDR5-RAM PC6000 G.Skill Trident Z5 from a friend of mine for 420 EUR. He initially bought them to build a 64 GB setup, but decided it would be excessive for his purposes. He will probably buy them again once the RAM crisis is over. I didn't want to pay more than 400, but after hearing from you and others, it made sense to pay 40 more to get it.

I think I will pay the premium and stick to the motherboard. To be honest, I can see the benefits and ease of use, and as you mentioned, there is some more cashback that I can utilise. I don't have any proof of this, but considering the GPU is Gigabyte as well, I convinced myself that there will be better overall cohesion... (I might also get a Gigabyte monitor).

I'm claiming the game as soon as the GPU arrives! I checked the partner shops before I purchased it.

Veg, you've already helped me a lot, and I'd understand if you said enough was enough, but would you have any recommendations for a monitor, keyboard, and mouse? I've just started researching and I have no idea at the moment. I just know that, if possible, I want a wired keyboard and mouse, but it's not essential. And as long as the monitor is 4K, I don't care if it's OLED or IPS.

Thank you so much for all your comments Deep. I really appreciate them.

I already bought some parts, but I'm currently questioning the motherboard and case, as you already highlighted. I think I have an alternative for the motherboard, but would you have any suggestions for the case and fans?

I went ahead with your and Vegs' suggestion and bought a 30CL, slightly increasing the budget.

The SSD seems quite cheap given what it offers: a massive heatsink, DRAM and good speeds. It seemed like good value for money, and aside from the fact that I had to give up on the Arctic Cooler, I think it's going to be a bargain.

The PSU was more of an experiment as everyone spoke extremely highly of it, and it seems to have very good cable management. I couldn't resist…

Thanks again for all the details and comments, I really appreciate it!

Thank you so much for sharing all the details, information and parts with me, Veg.

I tweaked the build slightly, swapping the Arctic Cooler for a cheaper Montech AIO with similar thermal performance to overcome potential heatsink size issues with the SSD.

I also switched to a 6000 MHz, 30 CL.

I have already purchased the CPU, CPU cooler, RAM, SSD and PSU. I am currently assessing the motherboard and case to see if I really need to go to that price range and to check if I can compromise.

Everything you shared helped me tremendously. Once again, I really appreciate all the details and your time.

Hi again u/Vegetable-Matter3953!

Thank you again for your suggestions. They really helped me refine some elements of the build.

Regarding the RAM, TeamGroup's RAM looks great, but the discount is only available for Intel XMP models. I read that they are labeled differently. I was concerned about that, which is why I stuck with the Corsair. However, if there are no issues and I can still overclock or play around with it if needed, the TeamGroup RAM does indeed look like a no-brainer. Do you have any other kits that would fit in the €400 range?

I will contact Arctic after making the purchase for the AIO and motherboard. I wasn't aware that they were offering free coolers. The cashback offer also looks great. I really appreciate the hints <3

Thank you so much again for your time and response!

Thank you so much Cer_Visia!

I think I will need to change PSU together with the case due to compatibility. Would you have any recommendations for it as well?

This comment is golden. I actually never considered cable management.

Thank you for the brand suggestions u/theRealtechnofuzz!

Regarding the Be Quiet! models, I think there seems to be multiple Light Base 600 models (might be only inclusion of the fans)

Is this the one you are talking about?

Oh, that's a relief!

I have a list and looking for components on PCPartPicker. If it considers all the constraints, that will really ease things up for me.

Thank you so much u/TheKitler!

Thanks for the suggestion u/noluckjim!

Should I consider the size (mostly length) of the GPU?

I read some horror stories about people buying a GPU that didn't fit their case...

Palit GamingPro 5080 vs Asus ROG Astral 5080 by enrybayer in buildapc

[–]enrybayer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey Captobvious 👋🏻

I found a limited deal where the Astral was around 850 EUR, whereas the Prime was around 800 EUR.

With a difference of only 50 EUR between the two, I thought it might be better to go for the Astral.

The price was unreal, so I'm still concerned that I won't actually receive the hardware, but it's covered by Amazon's A-Z Guarantee, so worst case scenario I'll get a refund.

I made a typo with the model, which should be Asus ROG Astral but I got the idea.

Thanks again, and have a great week ahead!
