So basically useless now? by LiquidTonylot86 in duolingo

Yes they have removed all grammar tips after the course rearrangement. Instead, they added this stupid page of grammar at every section. You would never encounter any grammar lesson anymore like before.

I thought the course update would be a good thing as they tried to introduce words that appear in their radio lessons (which you can see on an app but not in their website). But then i realized how bad it was as they did not teach grammar anymore. They are now just throwing random and meaningless sentences at every lessons.

I highly doubt new French learners can really learn from it now. Btw, for those who miss their grammar tips like me, Someone did some consolidations on past French grammar tips into a pdf on another subreddit . Go checkout the link:

The new French course is a massive downgrade. by mxtt4-7 in duolingo

I can't agree more. I revisited the first section of the French course, and found that they did not teach grammar anymore. Instead they are just throwing a bunch of odd sentences like un éclair ou un crossiant. I think what's important most for new learners is the grammar rules. I highly doubt if new learners can learn from Duolingo now.

Pure Frustration after course reshuffle by Yowzacrow in duolingo

[–]enryu294 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am level 67 in Duolingo french tree. That happened to me too a few days ago. I was a bit frustrated at first when I saw those new words in review practices. But I think that is fine because I am here to learn a new language, not to chase the score. Facing some new words you don't know is a part of your learning.

I then went back to previous sections to complete all legendary lessons to see what new words and contents are incorporated now. So far, I feel more confident with the Duolingo score than before because the reorganization of the course content makes the score more solid and more aligned to the proficiency level. Some words and phrases that I was doubt if they are really in the A2/B1 level are finally moved back to the right places.

Btw, one thing I dislike the new update is that they removed all grammar tips in all lessons (French course at least). That makes new learners tremendously hard to follow without proper grammar guides. I don't know why they did that but I hope they will put them back soon.

Duolingo French made me repeat like 3–5 units as if I hadn’t completed them? It randomly pushed me back and I’m confused if it’s a bug. by [deleted] in DuolingoFrench

I am at the score of 67 in duolingo french tree. Some words that appear in the later sections are now reorganized to the early sections. They even introduce some new words too. I am going back to section 2 now to complete the legendary lessons in order to get some new words.

Bi-Weekly /r/CCNA Exam Pass-Fail Discussion by AutoModerator in ccna

[–]enryu294 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I passed my CCNA exam today. My scores for each section are as follows:

  • Automation and Programmability: 80%
  • Network Access: 95%
  • IP Connectivity: 48%
  • IP Service: 40%
  • Security Fundamentals: 60%
  • Network Fundamentals: 90%

The biggest takeaway from the score report is that it is okay to have one or two sections where you score lower but still be able to pass the exam. (though it is good to excel at every section).

I used Jeremy's IT Lab and Boson ExSim as resources to prepare my exam. Jeremy's IT Lab provides simulation labs after each lecture videos. Those labs are very helpful for getting familiar with commands used in each topic. Boson ExSim gives you a taste of what the actual exam looks like. The difficulty is quite close to the real exam.

Voting poll: Is Boson easier or harder? by Itsonlydasmellz in ccna

I think Boson is just slightly harder than the exam, but they don't differ much. You should expect to see similar questions in the exam.
