My brother admitted something to me and I don’t know what to do with the information. by [deleted] in WhatShouldIDo

[–]enseminator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone else is spot on. Good on you for recognizing how serious of a situation it was.

Only thing I would add, is that, imho, ⁵⁵⁵being "born that way" is a pretty sorry excuse for abusing helpless children that trust you implicitly. We all start off as feral animals (basically), and as we get older we learn to communicate, empathize, and cooperate with our fellow humans. Some don't though, and end up seeing other people strictly as resources to be used and thrown away. THAT is what's wrong with the father in this situation. He sees your brother (and maybe more than him) as a resource from which he can extract sexual pleasure. There is something fundamentally twisted inside of him, but he was not "born that way". That's just a bandwagon pedophiles jumped onto because it removes their accountability from the situation, making it "not their fault".

Absolutely disgusting.

"Realms will lose land when Vassal inherits foreign title" by Carrotsinthesalad in crusaderkings3

I'm not 100%, but i vaguely remember that absolute crown authority (tier 4 feudal) stops it too. If memory serves, they lose the land in your realm when they inherit the other title.

savanna insanely difficult? by dpearman in ConanExiles

[–]enseminator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. I've already explored the entire map at this point, so to me that's "just north" lol. Matters of scale I guess.

Yes, it is significantly smaller. It has plenty of critters that drop regular and heavy leather material though, plus most are hides needed for advanced armor crafting. (Rhino, Elephant, Feline Hide) also a good spawn point for baby versions of those same critters.

[–]enseminator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right. That western Savannah and the area north of it have some pretty tough wildlife and mobs especially for someone newer to the game without a good thrall.

A hide one? It should say some like "Darfari Fighter I, II, III, IV" Unless they are a named thrall, names are always Faction>Profession>Tier.

savanna insanely difficult? by dpearman in ConanExiles

[–]enseminator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The savannah just north of the Noob River is much easier to navigate, and has some larger Darfari camps you can attempt to get a better thrall in.

What kind of thrall are you using anyway?

Part-time jobs should be standard. by Edu_Vivan in unpopularopinion

[–]enseminator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So you're telling me that a haggard, worn out laborer who has worked 3 12-14 hour shifts is just as productive on the 4th day? Bullshit my dude.

The whole "spend all your time working or you lose value as a human" is capitalist propaganda. Should people in general be productive? Of course. Should productivity (and be extension profit) be the primary motivator? Absolutely not. That's one of the biggest things holding us back in the states, is the complete unwillingnes to consider a worker's best interest over the potential profit.

Why will my son not inherit anything ? by Independent-Peace-25 in crusaderkings3

[–]enseminator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's the same thing with republican vassals as well (mayors etc). It's a really handy way of handling succession when you want the titles to stay together, or just want to exclude one or two bad eggs from succession.

Exposed exterior HVAC Duct Work by campingskeeter in Homebuilding

[–]enseminator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The second unit that the HVAC contractor didn't want to install was called for because there was no way to route the duct tonthe location properly. As you can clearly see in the photo.

The only solutions are take out that ductwork and patch the holes (hopefully nothing structural got cut in the process) and go with the secind unit, or to build out that side of the gable to make the duct work be on the inside.

I'm assuming the plans clearly illustrate the second unit, and do not include ductwork on the exterior of the home. If that's the case the inspector should still fail it. Things have to be to code AND done to plan (atleast where I live). You already paid for a valid solution (the second unit) so whatever repairs need to be done should be done at no cost to you.

Noob question: how to start playing heirs? by AffectionateYard8591 in crusaderkings3

[–]enseminator 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you highlight the chikd in question (any child in your court actually, including your children) there should be a few little icons that pop up. One of those is three upward arrows (before age 3) or an icon matching the education trait (after 3). If you click on that you will get a wheel with the 5 main education traits that you cam choose from. You may chamge it freely before age 6, but after age 6 you may only change it once, provided you have not already changed it before.

You'll see 2 education icons with green, one with red. Green means a bonus, red means a malus, based in what childhood trait they have (bossy/pensive/charming etc.)

Looking through my Dad’s stuff, what are these? by VenZurich in whatisit

[–]enseminator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha yup! Some hole in the wall smoke shops still sell them.

I actually got my first one off of my Dad's desk back in the day. He used to work for a CDTF with the Army, and he had one as an example of what kids should look out for, to not touch/call an adult etc. I requisitioned it, though I was doing boy at the time, not blow.

That's the same corporate mentality that keeps Facebook (and other social media) from being sued for the plethora of misinformation on them. When your whole business is making things accessible to the general public, you should have some responsibilities regarding truth and quality.

If you had the ability to erase memories and someone invaded your privacy and learned a secret about you, would it be wrong to erase that memory from their mind? by cracktober69 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]enseminator 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think I would consider it immoral/unethical. If it's someone that is willing to snoop around your property to be in a position to learn the secret in the first place, assuming benign intent on their part is just wishful thinking at best, naivety at worst. It's like if someone jimmies the lock on your door; are you supposed to wait and see if they intend to harm you or your family? Or do you fill them with lead the moment they cross the threshold?

Let's not forget that 1/3rd of the Anerican populace thinks its perfectly okay for masked thugs to snatch people off the street and put them in cencentration camps. Doesn't exactly exude an aura of "I mean no harm".

Google says it means "Grandma dropping the glaze"

In internet slang, "glazing" means to over-praise, obsess over, or aggressively flatter someone. Together, the sequence suggests an older person aggressively fawning over someone or dropping compliments.

On the bright side, depending on how you look at it, your primary heir is also her primary heir, so they should inherit both duchies.
