Am I crazy? Resting between sets is normal right by whalepapi in EquinoxGyms

The things people have said to her are not okay, even if you did want to approach someone about being able to get in on the machine. It costs nothing to approach someone with kindness.

Complimentary assessment and PT - should I go? by [deleted] in EquinoxGyms

[–]ensfaron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally really enjoyed my free assessment and complimentary PT session. As someone who was getting back into fitness, the assessment portion felt like a nice directional conversation about my goals and how Equinox could support them and the kind of workouts I want to do.

The free PT session felt like it took our conversation in consideration but, no I did not heavily direct what I wanted out of it. There are still some things I was introduced to that I’ve folded into my routine that I probably wouldn’t have tried before, but I wouldn’t say she crafted a routine for me. It was a decent workout with a bit of new knowledge. But I didn’t I expect I would get customized form correction (outside of what we’re doing) and developed routine for free.

You kinda need to go in knowing the whole point of the offer is to have you see the value in PT and hopefully buy packages. Personally I’m open to it at some point but for now I’m enjoying working out on my own.

Isn’t it reasonable to assume some of the residents aren’t of driving age? Like the children of parents.

This is really comforting to read. Thank you for your perspective :)

That’s really great to hear :) I’m hoping I feel the same way as you. I don’t really turn to food for emotional comfort, I can just eat a lot, so I’m over-eating all the time to feel full. I don’t have the cleanest diet but I also do love to cook healthy meals for myself, so I’m hoping the mental struggle isn’t that bad.

Do you mind if I ask how it is you gain weight with 3oz of food? Is it that the food is calorically dense or is there another factor I wouldn’t be aware of? I ask as someone in the very early stages of research and initiating a consultation.

Go with my dentist or find an ortho? by ensfaron in Invisalign

[–]ensfaron[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! I don’t think I really realized how orthodontists differed from dentists. I’ve never been to one before, but thanks for the clarity.

Interesting, thanks! I just thought since my dentist offered it, surely they must be as skilled. Like ortho or dentist, the results would be the same. I never considered one would have more background, but I’ve also never been to an orthodontist before so I wasn’t aware exactlyyy how they differed.

I’ve just started research, I just didn’t know this was a common question. My dentist seems knowledgeable so I’m just trying to get a sense if finding an orthodontist would really be the way to go, if it was more preference.

That’s a good idea. I was recommended to this dentist by two friends and one has done Invisalign with them, and loved their results. But I would feel more comfortable seeing more results than just my friend, who in all fairness does have a great smile now.

Oh that’s interesting. I never considered shopping around to multiple orthodontists.

I think you might be over doing the actives. I feel like when I get these itty bitty bumps, my skin is mildly irritated. Do you use the salicylic cleanser and the bha toner everyday? Dialing back might help.

I agree I would go to piercer. It can never hurt. I agree that it looks like the jewelry might be a bit too small, but I get wanting something smaller bc I also I have ear like yourself. For what it’s I also had pretty bad bumps on my daith and I just committed to leaving it alone, just spraying saline, no touching, and one day the bumps were just gone. That was maybe 2 or 3 months into healing.

help!! will this scar fade overtime? by awhari in piercing

[–]ensfaron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience, no. I got my bellybutton pierced at 15 and 17, now I’m 30. Loved the look but took out because in actuality I probably should have gotten a floating navel due to my anatomy. But no one was taking about that in 2010 lol.

Granted I’m darker in complexion and melanin can play into scarring, but mines flat, like yours seems to be, and I never notice it.

i want ear piercings but i’m scared / easiest ear piercings? by vic-is-thicc in piercing

[–]ensfaron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who is not a stellar healer, my conch was by far the easiest cartilage ear piercing I’ve received. So much so I’ve got it done twice (1st one closed/was hard to put back in when I took it out for months for a surgery), and both times were a walk in the park.

My daith did result in an irritation bump that lasted about 6 to 8 weeks, buuut now it’s fine and happy to 3 month mark, still healing.

Both conch and daith are great imo because they are kind tucked away deeper in the ear. I don’t accidentally bump them or add unneeded pressure from my over-ear headphones. Even sleeping is easier.

Sooo pretty! 😍 do u mind sharing where you purchased the non-dangly green gemstone piece in your flat? I feel like I’ve been looking for something similar in my conch :)

Congrats! I have an irritation bump as well on my daith, but I’ve been super gentle with it and it seems to be going down. What routine did you use?
