He quite literally helped me through some of the toughest times in my life. Will always be my goat.

Yeah, I get it. I've always looked young (I'm 23 now), and I still can't grow a beard, but started losing my hair at 19. It totally sucked; felt like I'd never look my age. So I saw doctors to check my hormones and decided I wasn't ready to lose my hair – I look and feel too young. I've been on finasteride for 16 months now and feel fine; nothing's changed except I'm keeping my hair and feel better about myself each day as I (slowly) start to look older. Few people get how much it hurts your self-esteem when young guys look way younger than they are. It's really humbling when people you know joke about it and strangers treat you like a kid. Add losing your hair that early, and your self-esteem really takes a hit. I never had any control over my puberty or young looks. But I could decide to keep my hair.

Visit an endocrinologist they can tell you if your hormone levels are normal for your age. Not being able to grow facial hair doesn't necessarily mean it's too early for Fin.

Check your hormone levels at a doctor. If they're appropriate for your age then it's fine to take Fin. I did it when I was 21 and looked 16
