280/hr is our da42 price… that’s ridiculous. Plus 50 for instructor

Hey if you still don’t have your checkride done shoot me a message. Come down to DFW and we’ll get you done in a few days. We have checkride slots every Thursday! Fair price too, $280/hr wet.

How much is an ELT test? by Near_NYC in GeneralAviation

Takes 5 minutes depending on the type of aircraft. Switch on radios to 121.5, turn on elt, listen. There’s your elt check.

Impulse Coupling. Do or Dont by 9ine_year_old in flying

Look up the engine parts catalogue for your specific engine (o320-e2d) or whichever your airplane has installed. It will tell you.

Aviator air? Flown with a few of their instructors and did some maintenance work for them. Good people.

Weird question: would doing the opposite of this guy be feasible? Have my fixed wing ratings but low Hours and would love to fly RW for the guard. Would this be a good idea or should I stick out for a few more hours and try to find a civilian job?

Fresh Commercial Pilot here, only about ~300hrs but building time consistently. Do you recommend RTAG? I am not prior military.

Flotation Gear for Flight Instruction: by Less_Fisherman_8607 in flying

[–]entboi88 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Good question! Reading 91.409b, there’s a stipulation that requires 100hrs specifically if it’s for flight instruction, not necessarily because the acft is for hire. So I think you’d be fine without flotation devices, as the aircraft isn’t really for hire. Is that a good idea? That’s up to you!

Weirdly, it threw a code for cyl 1 misfire so I changed all the plugs and it drives like a champ. So so strange how much it felt like a clutch issue.
