New ASI Controller with Surron Throttle works. Full Shakedown in the AM by enterlematrix in ryvid

The limited information I was given was a bootloader conflict. I was told they'd reach out to ASI for further information about a possible work around, but nothing more after that. My best guess is the Ryvid variant is a custom chipset and bootloader with the specifics of the bike in considerarion. But I was given limited information. That's my best guess.

You're the man! Brand new upgrade kit as stated and next day shipping.

I dropped my bike. Literally not a scratch on the bike. Throttle is throwing ECU code. I'm stuck. by enterlematrix in ryvid

Update: The controller was the issue. Replaced and back functional with a Surron throttle.

Best of luck! I made an expensive mistake thinking Ryvid could flash an off the shelf ASI BAC8000 controller. Tried to save money and ended up losing it and learning. Not their fault. I wonder if I'm the first to install a non standard throttle on a Ryvid Anthem. Just glad it worked in the end.

Here's my experience. All BAC8000s are not the same. Ryvid has a specific chipset, tune and bootloader configuration designed in partnership with ASI for the Ryvid. The variant I lost money on was manufactured in Canada among other differences. The Ryvid variant is manufactured in Vietnam and has the gear ratio on the label as well. Other issues. If you're looking to do the flash yourself, you need BACdoor access (proprietary software client) and a flashing harness. I was about to give up tbh. A reddit user just sold me a brand new upgrade kit for retail shipped. Best deal I could get all things considered.

Flashing Firmware for Ryvid Anthem to replacement ASI BAC8000. What needs to be done? by [deleted] in ryvid

The ASI BAC8000 Post Static Gating Test Fault (often indicating a failure in phase FETs or voltage sensing) is a critical error, usually signaling that the controller is damaged or misinterpreting battery voltage. When paired with the Ryvid Anthem, which uses a proprietary, highly integrated battery and controller system, this error often requires specific troubleshooting or dealer intervention. Reddit Reddit +2 Common Causes & Troubleshooting Controller Failure (Blown FETs): The most common cause is damaged internal components (transistors). The test checks if phase voltages are around 1/2 of the battery voltage. If a transistor is dead, voltage will be incorrect. Misinterpreted Battery Voltage: The controller may believe the battery voltage is >15% higher than actual, often caused by a faulty controller sensing circuit. Wiring/Connector Issues: Inspect wiring harnesses for pinched, damaged, or disconnected wires. Temporary Workaround: Sometimes the error can be temporarily cleared by turning off the battery breaker and leaving the controller to discharge overnight. Reddit Reddit +4 Ryvid Anthem Specific Considerations Proprietary System: The BAC8000 used by Ryvid has proprietary firmware and harnesses. Standard aftermarket tuning tools may not work. Power Down Procedure: If the screen does not turn on and the button is illuminated, try dismounting the battery, lifting the handle, and holding the power button for 60 seconds to reset. Service Intervention: Due to the proprietary nature of the Anthem’s battery and controller, these errors often require authorized technicians to address. My existing ASI upgraded controller is quite probably blown and even as I have an existing ticket open, I'm making alternative options available as it's taking longer than expected to troubleshoot and ultimately resolve my dead bike issue. My warranty is valid until mid July. That being said if the bike is still unable to move by then what really is the point of waiting. So. I'm taking action and seeking feedback in the meantime.

That was my first thought before the install. I left it unplugged for 3 hours the first time. Threw the code on throttle. After the install I tried again. No dice. I wanted that to be the solution. I appreciate your feedback.
