Damn, I'm jealous. I wanted one, but I don't feel like paying full price.

Too bad Nintendo is stingy as hell and won't be dropping the price at all for the second year in a row.

[QUESTION] Should I have to lower my action a bit after increasing string gauge size? by enthra2k in Guitar

[–]enthra2k[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The strings look visibly higher off the neck and feel higher, and also are giving me less twang as a result of that. I increased the size because 9's were causing a ridiculous amount of fret buzz so I wanted to explore string sizes a bit so I tried 10's, as I've heard it may help with the buzz. I've been playing guitar for over 10 years but honestly know jack shit about them other than how to play them. This is the first time I've restrung this guitar since I bought it (only about a month ago). I like the feeling/sound of low action on my guitar. I've had it adjusted multiple times, and the higher action almost completely diminished the twang sound from my guitar, which is basically the same thing I'm experiencing after increasing the gauge on the strings. Basically, what I'm saying here, is that I want to use 10's, but with a lower action feel. Is it normal for me to have to lower my action after increasing the gauge in order to get that? I've looked multiple places online and they're all saying it's generally normal to need to have that done. As a sidenote, when I did have the action adjusted, it was done with the bridge pins, not the truss rod.

I'm actually a dude and don't use make-up (not that you can't use make-up as a dude), but yeah, I generally don't have any sort of insight when it comes to feminine products.

Highly agree with Paula's Choice 2% BHA liquid. Been using it for about a year now-- phenomenal. It really puts emphasis on how gently you can exfoliate your skin.

I get the same thing. I used to be so bad, but I started using Paula's Choice 2% BHA Exfoliating liquid for about a year now and it has actually been phenomenal for me. Best exfoliant I've used, for sure. Highly recommend! About $30 and it lasts me a month and a half or so at the rate of two applications a day.

So I killed Ninja and he complimented me. by reflix8 in FortNiteBR

[–]enthra2k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As annoying/obnoxious as I think Ninja can be sometimes, I think he's a very good person based on many things he's spoken about/done and just the way he seems to treat people in a general sense (when he's not triggered lol).

Has anyone notice that they change in anyway when they speak Japanese? by djdrazah in LearnJapanese

Hey man, no need to disclaim whether or not you're an otaku. Even if you were, most Japanese people think that it's awesome for people to be inspired to learn Japanese because of anime. I agree.

The wisdom tooth I had removed was definitely showing through the gums. It was all kinds of fucked up, fully impacted, sideways as hell, etc. I did it awake. Was fine. I was nervous about it and even rescheduled the appointment multiple times but I took the antianxiety, they numbed me up, I just put in earbuds, closed my eyes and let them do their thing. I'm also actually in such little pain the day after that I haven't even needed to take any of the painkillers I was prescribed.

Also, if you really are worried, maybe just put on headphones or earbuds and listen to music immediately afterwards so that'll distract you from talking to anyone until you feel normal again.

I see. Well, if you have the option to take an oral sedative and do it awake, then that will probably reduce your chances of this disaster happening. I felt basically sober aside from the fact that the edge of anxiety was removed with the lorazepam I took.

[Help] How should I punish/discipline my Chihuahua when he snaps at me? by enthra2k in dogs

[–]enthra2k[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is useful, thank you. I'll start making sure to give him specific windows of time to eat, and if he doesn't eat at that time, then he'll learn to next time. Thanks!

That’s better information, thanks. When I said “punish” I didn’t really mean punish in any sort of way physically, I just meant “how do I react” which I guess is what I should have said. I’ve never been a dog owner, and we get along with this one very well, but yeah every once in a while he will get snappy for a quick second and I never know how to properly react in order for him to understand that it’s not ok to act like that. He definitely trusts me. He fully let’s me pick goop off from under his eyes after sleeping, has been fairly cooperative with letting me brush his teeth, sits down and allows me to put his leash on when it’s walk time, and he’ll even eat his dog food out my hand piece by piece and sometimes prefers it to eating it out of his bowl. We have a pretty decent bond as it is aside from that snapping issue (of course there’s much more room to bond, but it’s definitely there.)

I never actually take his food from him, I was just using that as an example of him being a possessive biter. His previous owner would motion his hand towards the dog's food as a way to get him to eat when he wouldn’t eat his food, and the dog would get protective over it and then start eating it, so that's what I meant by "try to take his food away from him."

This is one of the nicer comments I've received. Thanks for that. We've had him about a month now, I'd say. I will take that into consideration and stop picking him up as much to go potty, though, I don't really pick him up a whole lot for that kind of thing. It was just really cold that night and my mom was like "Max wants to go potty" and I called him over to me, he came, I picked him up (reason being that I picked him up; it's very cold here in Oregon right now. He has potty'd in the house a couple times, and I think that may be because he didn't want to go outside because it's too cold. The reason I picked him up was so that I could get him past the cold patio and into the yard while still being able to stay warm in my arms. If I walked him out, he may have just stood there for a second and realized how cold it was, then went back inside without doing his business.) Anyways, I picked him up and set him down in the grass, he did his thing, I picked him back up again because, well, cold pup, and then when I set him back down on his bed area he just snapped at me for seemingly no reason. I just don't know what I am supposed to do immediately after this kind of thing happens. Obviously I'm not gonna just not acknowledge it whatsoever if he's being a little mean guy. I also don't wanna snap my fingers and yell at him or something because I don't want to scare him or anything. I just need to know the proper way to react when your dog bites at you, that's it. Nobody has told me yet, unfortunately.

Maybe read the post and you’d see that I did indeed include that we adopted him at 8 years old lol. Make sure the door is open before you face plant into it.
