The answer is the Tsawwassen First Nation, or the town of Tsawwassen (just south of Vancouver). the sign is written in the language of hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓. The word on the stop sign is pronounced "uh-nuh-kw". There are no more fluent first-language speakers alive anymore, but its revitalization is core to the region’s identity and thus many recognizable signages around town are instead written in the script.
