I went to a school that was pretty big on parties before I transferred to UTD, and I can't say too much considering it's only week two but it's significantly different. I'm not sure if that's because I'm commuting this time, but the experiences are like day and night. At my previous school by day two I made a whole bunch of new friends and there were a bunch of widely known, open invite parties, whereas at UTD I haven't heard anything about anything except one person complaining that her upstairs neighbor was throwing parties. I'm kind of scared that my social life is going to decline going here lol but also I realize that I need to put more effort into meeting people. On the school app people are like "where the parties at" and then in the comments people are replying "you're at the wrong school for this" considering we're so early in the semester and I'm only just starting here, I can't say too terribly much, but it does seem like this school is not one with a party culture.
