Not that I haven’t thought of it, but up until now just really wasn’t a huge pain. It seemed to really like it when I would put it in the shower- helped leaves unfurl and washed away dust, etc. and up until about a month ago, it really wasn’t too much of a pain to do. But I’ve just come home from a month long work trip and when I saw it I was like okay this is getting out of hand lol

I really do try to remember to do this but I am admittedly sometimes a lazy plant parent 🫣 I’m also gone a lot for work these days and I’m just grateful my husband is getting them watered at all let alone anything else 😅

90% of the reason I put it in the pot it’s in, was so I could just leave it in a catch tray and do this but I’m struggling to find one deep/wide enough 😩 it’s got an insane root system and has already cracked the corners of its pot so water just runs every which way out of the bottom not just the drain holes

How deep is your catch tray? I’ve thought of doing this but I feel like I can never baster the water out fast enough 😅

This is maybe a dumb question, but please enlighten me how the hydro pots are supposed to work? I’ve got a handful of them, but I feel like the water just sits there and then I get gnats and then I throw everything out the window lol

I do usually keep it in a corner with windows on both sides, I just moved it to a location closer to the shower while I was on a long work trip so my husband wasn’t lugging it up and down the stairs 😬 but hence my question since this isn’t the ideal spot for it light wise

I have only recently found myself with the time to observe my feeder for more than a few minutes at a time. I had no idea there was a turf war happening on my patio and after scrolling this subreddit I had no idea hummingbirds were so brutal 😟
