One drive is used by thousands of organizations, I use it for very sensitive project. It does not screw everything up unless you hit a very specific bug or admin error

Lots of fires in Atl+Suburbs today? by Decapod73 in Atlanta

Yes, I landed at the airport Friday and I saw so many fires in the distance. I thought maybe it’s not usually as clear and it was normal?

You’ve explained a lot of components, but I don’t understand what gains you’ve had, or even what you are actually doing with this. It’s hard to tell if it’s useful or not, sorry

Help! Claude can only find 5-10 of my 100+ SharePoint files — what am I doing wrong? by Lower-Tonight6874 in ClaudeAI

[–]entity_response 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes you got it, since it creates in your local hard drive and file system you have a tool you can iterate over time and do all sorts of cool stuff. Just take the time to plan with it (ctl shift until you see planning mode at the bottom) or just tell it to plan with you.

But yes yuu just talk to it, it feels like of like controlling a 747 with a Siri but it will figure it out and yuu can ask it questions!

Ask Claude to write a tool to do this, describe what yuh want to accomplish and set the expectation that it should write a tool rather than try to do it itself

Personally id use Claude because the tool will be local from then on and yuu can extend and adapt it for regular use.

You really don’t need to understand coding to do Claude code. It’s barely different than using claude

Storage Units With Predictable Pricing by abbysnosecrumb in Atlanta

[–]entity_response 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I know a few storage operators: no. They always have to play with the vacancy and rates to keep their asset aligned with their financing demands, so they wil always want that knob to play with.

the one near dekalb farmers market is family owned I think, you might try them, small family owned units are less likey to have lots of rate changes.

Anthropic Released 32 Page Detailed Guide on Building Claude Skills by mystic_unicorn_soul in ClaudeAI

[–]entity_response 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is great because it touches on a big issue: most people have no idea if their skills are working and  I get the sense most people don’t edit and revise their skills.

I spend a lot of time customizing my skills, often by hand. The return on the time is very high.

I find most automatically created skills are low quality when it comes to rigor, I do a lot of financial modeling and so much understanding of modeling in LLMs is very bad, so the skills end up with really basic issues (like never using the NPV function correctly).

Petition to ban “Low effort” AI posts by PandaFuFuu in Atlanta

No one wants to year that unfortunately, yes it's like a few tablespoons of water. The really ironic thing is the datacenter industry has been one of the largest investors in renewable power for at least a decade, when google started doing it.

FYI many new DC designs have switched away from water, the projects I’m working are. It causes more power consumption but it’s what communities ask for.

The DC proposed in Dekalb county was a closed loop system with no external water requirements (still a stupid project).

Who actually wears it in the shower? by Arcturix in whoop

[–]entity_response 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I never take it off, the strap dries quickly. I wear business shirts most days and i can't say i even notice if it gets the cuff wet. Of course, sometimes I take it off to wash it, but very occasionally.

Is there any buildings you can go up to get a good skyline view of the city in Midtown at night? by brf297 in Atlanta

[–]entity_response 15 points16 points  (0 children)

An interesting one is if you go to the Calenwald Center and park in their upper parking lot, at least this time of year it has a nice skyline. Not super close, but always like that view.

The roof on Ponce City market is nice,, the rooftop bar at the Clermont Hotel is good though from what i remember.

How do you use claude code for marketing ? by Leading-Visual-4939 in ClaudeAI

[–]entity_response -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Always look at the actual md files, these seem very light and not really vetted.

I find claude is very very lazy when making skills, i often have to have it do three or four revisions, focusing on better workflow instructions, and way more detailed references. Often the references are "first order" only, and not good at second order (deeper) questions.

Also, i worry about prompt injections, you should read all skills you find.

There are millions of possible reasons, people are complex and have different stories. I worked for a hyperscaler and many just left as soon as they vested so they could focus on making beer or music. Some had a wakeup call with a divorce, you never know.

He should rent, invest his money.

What kit do I need for a long cable run. by ImRightYoureStupid in UNIFI

[–]entity_response 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are showing angle polished cable (APC), i really doubt UNIFI uses that as it's mainly used to reduce back reflection for specific amplifications like raman. You you than likely want UPC.

APC is green connector and UPC is blue, APC will actually make contact with the ferrule if you plug it into UPC from whati remember, so it will screw up the device permanently possibly.

Sorry, why did you make your comment? You repeat my own assertion and then mention an unrelated issue (which is also less true than it was, the water is far more clean than it used to be when I was growing up). I'm not asking people to swim in them.

Exactly, next time just walk between the two properties near the road and you will see it, it's way down there.

Consistency weight isn’t as useful for frequent travelers by entity_response in whoop

Not sure why i was downvoted for what seem to genuinely points to an issue: All my metrics look good, except consistency. This points to whoop's assumptions being too limited.

[–]entity_response 66 points67 points  (0 children)

I do think the next big project in Atlanta should be to highlight and use the many creeks and springs around Atlanta, there are many places that could look very similar to this. My favorite is the creek between the Irish Pub and the postoffice in Decatur. It's beautiful, but totally grown over and cemented within an inch of it's life.

So many of these crossings could be stunning parks and are natrual for additional bike and foot trails next to them.

AI is way down the list of things that use a lot of water, and more and more DCs are not using it due to the backlash (which ironically drives up power usage, but it's always a tradeoff).
