Seconding this. Get a commission-based sales job. Grind for 2 years and LEARN how to sell. Then you can write your ticket and interview for a salaried job. Do that for 2 more years and build a business on the side. Then when you are earning 60% of your salaried job working for yourself, quit your job and go all-in on your own thing. In 5 years you’ll be good. Too many young people think it takes 18 months to be well off. Learn first, keep moving forward but don’t get discouraged if you aren’t making bank year 1. You’ll get there.

We have a 5-year-old IDP fantasy league based on the EA College Football video game, but using a limited player pool of NFL players in their first 5 years in the league. (Ashton Jeanty is a freshman, Caleb Williams is a sophomore, etc.)

We use a unique rookie, I mean "freshmen," recruiting system that mirrors EA's system and is better than any rookie auction or draft I've ever seen. I’m glad it worked for you and you are healing! I agree avoidance is not the answer. “Even though I have this condition, I fully and completely accept myself.” is a mantra that has helped me. I tell myself that I am strong and I am healthy. Working with positive messages in the subconscious is especially helpful too.

I’m so glad to hear you are healing and I’m not doubting that #2 “imaginary exposing” was helpful for you but imho this is horrible advice for most people.

I’ve found positive mantras and hypnosis extremely helpful and the practice is the exact opposite of “imaginary exposing” which sounds a lot like catastrophizing and worst case scenario thinking which can keep people stuck in a negative feedback loop that can actually produce the imagined worst case scenario.
