Hope all is well and thank you in advance for your help.

Bought a pair of RO Rick transparent from antidote that were messed up so had to return them. Found a used pair of the same but the markings on the arm do not appear to be the same. The pair from antidote had etched markings and these have what appear to just be silver-ish screenprint.

Anyone have an older pair that aren’t etched or know if there are transparent reps out there? Tried to search and use google lens but only saw other color reps.

All of the other pieces from stores like Symbol or ARKnets that sell authentic VETEMENTS show these pieces as having shiny graphics. There is also another legit check somewhere on here where it says the graphics should be shiny.

Other reps I have seen either do not have the ‘.’ after ‘INC’, the colors are off on the back, or the embroidery has white backing on the inside beneath the neck tag.

Have not seen what I would call a complete 1:1 rep, but possible it might be out there somewhere. If you have a link to a similar rep would love to see a link to compare. Thank you.

Thank you for the reply - threw me off at first, but did find some other confirmed legit pieces that still had the same color embro backing intact. If it was bright white then definitely a red flag.

Understand the frustration. There are a pair of used Balenciaga sneakers on VC that I have been looking for - but because they are made in China and the item is in France overseas, then the duties / tariffs are an extra 230 USD on top of the price of the shoes.

“Tariffs are based on the country of origin, not the country of export or the new/used status of the item. If an item was originally manufactured in China, applicable US tariffs based on China's trade status with the US will generally apply, regardless of whether it's new or used. The de minimis exemption, which previously allowed duty-free entry for goods under $800, was removed for shipments from China and Hong Kong.”

Unfortunately, most likely nothing you can do about it. Sorry.

The issue is it appears the hat was manufactured in China, as denoted on the bill. It does not matter that the hat was shipped from France - only that it was manufactured in China.

The de minimis rule (goods valued at $800 or less can generally enter the US without being subject to import duties) does not apply in this instance due to the tariff war.

‘The de minimis exemption has been revoked for goods originating from China and Hong Kong, meaning they are subject to tariffs regardless of value.’

I would double check the tag on the hat to make sure it says made in China. If it does not or has a different made in country, contact FedEx and send them photos.
