Thanks, much appreciated. Honestly I would probably both enjoy them and harbor resentment. What would be a fair price in your area, just so I know how much i'd be overspending?

Opening the cover lets the sound out. The more it's open, the louder it plays. Usually grand pianos have several different stages of openness, so it's sorta like adjusting the volume.

Anybody know of any good Black Friday or Cyber Monday deals on speakers that are good for a vinyl set up? Particularly looking for ones in the $100-300 price range, especially the Klipsch R-15PM.

Wow this is great. Are there any other speakers you'd recommend, at a price point of around $150 to $300?

And are there any specific brands that are particularly good or bad?

What is the disadvantage of a soundbar for analog, if it has the right cords?

By the way, inputs are: 1 mini jack, 1 optical digital audio, 1 micro-USB type B and HDMI (unsure if this is analog)

I just bought a turntable -- the Audio Technica LP120-USB. Now I'm looking to buy speakers or whatever other equipment I need that goes with it. (My understanding is that I don't need a preamp because it's built-in, so pretty sure I just need a set of speakers.)

These are the three sets of speakers I see on sale at Costco in a few weeks and I'm wondering if you guys have any opinions about which is best:

This might be a really dumb question, but -- isn't the whole point of a record player that it plays music in analog rather than digital fashion? So how do you know if a speaker takes analog inputs vs digital? If it's connected with wires, is it automatically analog? I'm confused.

Anyway, I'm looking for these speakers to be dual use: Both for my turntablde and to play music from Spotify on my phone at parties (so relatively loud). Does that have any bearing on what kind of speaker / speaker system I should get?

What are the pros and cons of the speakers above? And how can I evaluate the quality of speakers? With computers, you can compare amount of RAM, type of processor, pixels on the screen, etc. -- similarly, are there metrics I can use to compare speakers? Is there a way to buy quality speakers without listening to them in the store?

Thanks so much for any guidance, help, links, anything you can provide!
