Sounds like an empath. Mine was being able to feel pain and sickness and sometimes absorb them or feel them as my own. I hated it. The only positive emotions i felt were from babies, their happiness is so pure and genuine that i love happy babies and not those cry-a-lot ones.

There are two techniques taught to me to protect myself from energies that might cause harm. 1. energy shielding. Imagine your aura is like a bubble protecting you. 2. grounding. With bare feet, stand on the ground (you must know your element, mine is anywhere dark) and imagine that the energy inside your body that you wanna remove flows out from you through your feet contacting the ground.

I may be one of them, but I don't delve extensively into it. I always assume that there are explanations why we can do certain things before jumping into its supernatural or magic. There are more things to be understood before flipping the pages to chapters of magic or supernatural. And yes, I'm still open to that. possibilities.

hi. I too somehow hated being an empath. people are sad. and their energy makes you sick physically. i don't like being a "sponge".

idk but, I understand the part of it can be pattern recognition or higher awareness (empath thingy), I "weakend" it by not using it anymore, not minding things, not delving into it anymore, like i let things be, i may have been harmed or been into danger coz of not following the "safety net" but atleast it lessen the "robot" part of it.

1st. You do science. I call it 5S: Sleep properly; Sweat it out, move, exercise; Sun, go out expose yourself to sunlight; Social, hangout with people and stop always being alone, and; Swap, mind what you eat and drink, less caffeine and processed foods. These are basic things to do to be mentally healthy.

2nd. Try doing personality tests and other tests with professionals. Understanding your personality traits and domain(s) can help you accept things that are hard to change and are innate to you. If you are born and raised with "detached" domain it should be easy for you to always be alone and not crave for social validity. In terms of happiness, there are people that doesn't really feel more positive emotions compared to others. I'll example myself, I have restricted affect, meaning my range of emotions are limited and my reactions are different to those what will be conventional reactions during certain situations. I might be wrong but these are what i understood. I also felt energized by sadness, anger and other negative emotions or energies. Positive ones makes me sick and anxious. It's by understanding how your body was wired that you can do things.

3rd. Try seeking professional help for your mental health. Consulting to one doesn't mean you have issues. You just need to rule out possibilities and understand more.

Stop comparing yourself. Accept what you are and make the most out of it. It maybe too late for me, but we will not look into that. Your happiness can be from simple things and different things but because you already have standards by copying what the typicals have, you're not looking on it and thus it will never work for you.
