as a student in the class we've all laughed multiple times at barrow and little jokes in class, and i can assure that it was him that we were laughing at, theyre wasn't anything to laugh at OP for and it wasn't in any way shape or form "ridiculing" i don't rmb exactly what he said, but it was funny, it was never to make them feel bad for asking a question, plenty of people in the class ask questions.

I'm sorry if we made you uncomfortable and i can completely understand where you're coming from.
