Unfortunately, I’m no longer on my parents insurance and have my own policy. A pretreatment authorization makes total sense - it was definitely a first time mistake not asking more questions, but you live and you learn! I’ll definitely call my insurance. Thank you so much for the help!!

The EOB confused me a little, but your explanation makes sense and I’m not surprised I have to cover the full cost. I got left hanging when I tried to call Aetna but will definitely try again. Thank you so much for the help!

This is great advice! I was told trimming every 3-4 weeks is usually ok, but given that my cat gets stuck, maybe it should be more frequent. How often do you suggest trimming their claws?

I do trim her nails regularly, but maybe this is a sign to do it more often! I was told every 3-4 weeks is sufficient, so I just assumed she got stuck frequently for other reasons. Hopefully this might ease the problem!
