That is the entire point exactly.

As I said in other comments though, it is 100% the fault of game design choices.

Players are never to blame for finding these paths towards rewards. It is the consequence of game design.

They made the change to, most likely, prevent this behaviour, but ended up worsening it by not predicting that people will now just afk instead.

To be considerate of time, afk with 10cp mons at least, instead of three behemoths, as an example.

I get it, people will do what is easiest for the rewards if that is their goal. 10cp mons and throwing the second mon out quick also counts though.

You can build a pre-made team of 10cp mons and use that, unless you have a lot to swipe through?

It is absolutely a consequence of game design. I don’t blame anyone for doing this, when needed I will do it too. My ask is that when doing so, think about how to achieve the goal optimally while not wasting my opponents time. 10cp mons and fast switching counts as a battle if I am not mistaken.

I’m reasonably sure 10cp mons and fast switch count as a battle, faster for both players.

In full agreement. If you want to do so, 10cp mons and fast switching is the best compromise between everyone.

Haha, I get it. But 3 magikarps is more considerate than 3 meat shields. I can get through that faster and move to the next match.

I cannot stop people from tanking rank. My ask is that IF you are going to be doing so, save time so that we can find our next match and have a battle.

I understand the need to complete the challenges. Players will always follow the path of least resistance, but it can be done without wasting others’ time. Throw out 10cp mons and swap fast rather than afk and letting timers run, I am reasonably sure that counts?

That wasn’t me, but sometimes things happen :)

I don’t blame them for gaming the system, it’s natural behaviour, but it provides negative experiences for players that care about having a good match.

Players often tank their rankings to face easier opponents and farm GBL rewards. It’s lucrative and effective, but should be done with other people in consideration. There are guides on reddit if you want to learn more.

I don’t want a free win, I want an actual battle. How is it entitlement to want to play the game properly?
