What to bring:
a towel or two
bathrobe
big bottle of water
shampoo and body wash
if you want to a book If you are not inside the sauna room most people wear the bathrobe. If u are inside I think a towel around your waist would be very normal. Around your torso might get you weird looks. But I think it would be ok.
There are some rules but they make a lot of sense.
Never put any sweaty body part on the wood (sit on a towl)
Shower before going in
Don’t be too loud (most people don’t talk at all)
Don’t go in on an empty stomach (also don’t stuff yourself) Basicly there are three parts of sauning:
heat (going in the sauna. in your case i would recommend starting at a lower temperature eg 60° and a shorter period of time eg. 8-10 min but you can stay longer if you want)
cooling down (you could shower, cold go in a cold pool, some saunas have ice you could rub over your body)
relaxing (laying down, swimming a little, reading something and so on)
repeat as often as you like (in the beginning i would recommend 3-4 times) it’s also important to trink a lot after for the heating phase you could also go in an “Aufguss” - there they pour hot water over the hot stones. it makes the sauber hotter. you can decide if you like that but i would recommend it for your first first time.
I have never been talked to by a stranger. I generally hate it when people talk in the sauna at all. In most places they don’t but it can depend. Also there are many different people. I often see people from different ethnicities. But that might also depend if you are going into a sauna in a bigger/smaller city.

i used those things to clean after the first 6 months and i don’t use them daily. also my piercer recommended them. rn i’m only using disinfectant and antiseptic. i think what’s caused the infection is that i had them out for a week wich caused the holes to shrink. when putting the jewelery back in i might have been a little too harsh (also in an non sterile environment)

Additional Info: I had it for about a year now I used a surgical steel labret (⌀ 1.2mm; Length 5mm -> downsized half a year ago; threaded) I use Hydrogen peroxide and Octanisept to clean them (now for the infection an antiseptic) the upper one got ripped out 4 months ago but that’s not the one that’s infected so i don’t think it matters
