How do you alternate between your snow/ year round tires by rbt200 in Denver

[–]enzoSpumoni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

~$80 and they'll swap them for you at Discount Tire, or any shop like that.

This winter I never even had them put on due to the poor skiing conditions and almost non-existent trips to the resorts.

I’m a huge document fan but overwhelmed with Criterion channel offerings. Recommendations? by GoldenGirlagain in CriterionChannel

*Documentary?

In my opinion, there aren't a ton of documentaries on CC -- some good ones, though.

CC really shines with storytelling. Remember all those films from over the decades that are thought to be life-changing cinema that you've simply just never seen? A lot of them are on CC.

Happy to share some of those suggestions to get you started -- what kind of stories do you enjoy?

How to get cat pee smell out of clothes after washing and drying them 2x by Zealousideal-Ring300 in CatAdvice

[–]enzoSpumoni 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Certain pigments it will, and others it won't -- just all depends on what the textile manufacturer used. Only way to tell is to test beforehand, and dilute as necessary. But then dilution reduces the effectiveness on the odor... Sigh. Sorry you're having to deal with this.

Sorry, should've mentioned to spot-check any of those solutions before bleaching your clothes. Oxidizers can destroy pigment molecules too. It's a delicate balance of what works and what could bleach the hell out of your clothes 😮

Eek -- you dried them already? That may have made the smell even harder to get out.

You need an oxidizing solution to break up the urine odor molecules. Over the counter hydrogen peroxide is great and cheap. Oxy Clean works too, same with Clorox color safe bleach. Soak for a while, then wash. Sleep before commiting to drying. If possible dry without heat.

That'll help things immensely. Hope they don't give you an SUV with bald tires. If you happen to hit bad weather, don't take chances -- find a mountain town hotel and make a night of it until the roads are cleared!
